40 Commando Special Reconnaissance is a Troop-sized unit created as reconnaissance, direct action and security for hire, both on the ground, and in space.
History
40 Commando Special Reconnaissance was formed on the 1 August 2946 to provide tactical and precision solutions to ongoing conflict and modern threats. The organisation is to be based around a Close Combat Troop of Marines, with supporting elements providing transport and fires. 40Cdo SR forms part of the United Earth Empire Militia, assisting on-going UEE Navy operations where possible.
To this end, 40Cdo SR is equipped with the latest military-grade assets as part of the UEE Militia initiative.
The Marines, forming 1 Troop, are stationed aboard the organisations command and control ship, the UEES Fires of Winter, which provides rapid defensive, offensive and ground deployment capabilities to the organisation.
40Cdo SR’s primary focus and specialty is infantry based combat. Whether that be direct action assignments, security assignments, reconnaissance assignments, or anything that falls in-between. All our Marines are trained to the highest possible standards by experienced instructors, providing a level of efficiency and professionalism found nowhere else.
Manifesto
40 Commando Special Reconnaissance is derived from the ArmA 3 Military Simulation community, 40 Commando Royal Marines. Formed as a, “no drama, professional, British MilSim community for ArmA 3, emulating the British Royal Marine Commandos”, the organisation has a large wealth of tactical experience as well as a strong community backing it.
With most of our base members deriving from the ArmA 3 side of our community, the same requirements and expectations have also been carried across. Although separate from our ArmA 3 experience, we bring much of the same training, events, organisation and experience to Star Citizen.

Charter
UNIT RULES
All members are expected to follow the below rules following their enlistment. These rules have been in effect within the community for over a year and there are no excuses to not following or understanding them.
- Loss of temper or arguments with other members will result in your dismissal from the unit.
- Members that demand “guarantees” as to position or rank will be dismissed from the unit.
- Anyone not adhering to rank structure/complying with orders will be dismissed.
- Racism or racist comments will not be allowed and will result in instant dismissal.
- Members that do not attend operations and do not give their Section Commanders good notice and reason will be dismissed. Telling someone you cannot attend is a courtesy. We don’t mind if you cannot attend, however we do expect you to inform us as soon as you are able.
ENLISTMENT REQUIREMENTS
Please ensure you have read through our History and Manifesto, ensuring you comply with the below requirements below before enlisting to 40 Commando Special Reconnaissance.
- Must exhibit maturity.
- Must be willing to comply with the unit operations regime.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be willing to comply with unit organisation, rank structure, orders and general requirements.
- Overbearing, loud, or obnoxious candidates will not be accepted.
