Abaddon INC. started as a small planet side exploration and shipping company on a colony world with a few independent operators working together for trade and profit. After great success more independent operators consolidated under the Abaddon banner and the company expanded to several offices worldwide. Years later the first space ships were purchased for company use, again starting with exploration and trade as the primary focus they set out and soon had spread to become a system wide corporation. As the fleet continued to expand and income increased the company added mining and production facilities on other worlds, a security division was created to safeguard the mining and trade ships while in transit or during operations in orbit. An expanded fleet and experienced pilots brought the hiring of Abaddon’s company backed cargo haulers and escorts out to discerning customers that wanted an option over the unknown of hiring an independent. Abaddon INC. now has market interests in raw materials, finished goods, transport and security and is expanding again to solidify its market presence across the board and working to become the go to name in galactic business. As a corporation Abaddon INC. is driven by profit, with primary focus on exploration and trade as a means to that end. An integrated approach allows the separate divisions to complement and support each other while diversification creates a need for employees with varied skill types and backgrounds allowing them to find a niche within the company where they can best attain both personal goals as well as goals defined by the company.
Current structure has the CEO sitting chair on the board of directors each board member is in charge of a division of the company who in turn lead the department heads for that division. Each department head has varied levels of project managers and senior staff under them followed by more junior employees and new hires. Primary divisions at this time are SALES: responsible for market awareness and both speculative and cosigned trade as well as transport of company assets to and from company holdings.
ACQUISITIONS: responsible for asset growth by exploration and discovery of new resources and jump point mapping of prospective trade routes as well as management of company holdings and factories.
SECURITY: responsible for asset retention and threat assessment. Providing escort for company ships and a company backed escort available for contract by discriminating customers as well as enforcement of legal bounties on criminals that have damaged company assets.
MULTI-ORGANIZATION POLICY
Multi-membership is allowed but do not spread yourself too thin. The needs of the corp should be foremost and no hostile action, espionage or sabotage against the corp will be tolerated. Employees with a conflict of interest or who are repeatedly unavailable for company work due to other organization commitments may be subject to dismissal.Alt accounts with characters that are on a cross purpose or that take action against the company will be treated as if ALL that players accounts took action against the company however not all of a players characters need to be employees of the company.
BEHAVIOR
We operate on the principle of common decency and common sense, this is the internet don’t make it worse than it already is. Be friendly and courteous to all employees and non employees alike remember your actions reflect on the company and can affect the willingness of others to trade with the company or hire company assets thus affecting the profit margin for the company overall. All terms of service and community rules set by CIG are also to be maintained at all times, we don’t want to see our employees banned. (the goal is to game with our friends)
TEAM CHAT
Voice communication will NOT be mandatory but communication is essential in game team chats will be utilized as will emails either to your RSI forum inbox or personal email inbox. When the game is live and you are logged in employees should be in the team chat as well this will allow assistance from any logged in member should the need arise.
GAME PLAY HOURS
We will not require you to put in a set amount of hours per week on game play, many of us have families and jobs and computer gaming is a luxury. However if you will be unable to log in for an extended time please let a board member know as we count on active employees to remain profitable.
COMPANY RESOURCES AND EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION
The company will pay our employees both in credits as well as in gear dependant on the profit of the company. Company assigned jobs will be paid a percentage of the total profit of that job , speculative trade jobs may be given a budget from the company with a percentage of the profit paid to the employee . The company will provide ships and equipment as available and as needed for assignments on a temporary basis if an employee wishes to purchase a ship or equipment from the company the company will process the sale at a discount for the employee,ships and equipment may also be awarded as payment to an employee dependent on employee performance and company profit.The company will cover repairs of equipment damaged while performing company assignments,insurance on employee ships and equipment are the responsibility of the employee. The company will cover insurance on company cargo in transit. Employees in a “for hire” division will have a percentage of contract profits paid to the company , a “for hire” contract is considered a company assignment.Employees in a exploration division will have a percentage of UEE finders awards paid to the company.
