Serving the interest of the United Empire of Earth and its allies. Specialising in the heavy transportation of dry and liquid bulk, exotic goods, vehicular transportation, passenger transportation and encouraging freelancing in accordance with the organisation rules and procedures.
TEC traces its history all the way back to the Late 18th century AD. Records shows that TEC was initially called the Rows and Sandals Shipping, a bulk, pig iron carrier for a mining company. Its name was taken from the paddle steamer named The Rows, and the startling use of sandals as the preferred footwear by its crew. R&S Shipping progressed through the 18th to the 23rd century, providing a means of transportation method from passengers to cargo, and innovating its fleet from a watercraft based, to aircraft and eventually, space capable SSTO spacecraft, whilst being re-founded several times under the original founder’s successors. This has continued for another five centuries until the modern overhaul of its management, which was to be once again renamed as the Traders Elite Commission.
Traders Elite Commission started as a small family-run business that specialises in the moving of goods from one destination to another. Founded at the start of the 29th century, just after the ratification of the Fair Chance Act and the commissioning of the Ark at 2800, TEC had formally expanded through the borders of the Sol system, finally able to connect with clients other than humans. With the expansion of services to systems such as the Croshaw system, TEC has expanded its fleet of small, military surplus ships that were refitted to carry cargo, to better armed and protected RSI built Freelancer ships.
Whilst TEC had not grown considerably over the next 75 years in terms of its fleet size, relying on mostly medium sized, cargo-capable ships, the advent of a new releases of surplus ships by the UEE military has fuelled the TEC’s management into reconsidering its fleet. Cost-cutting and the release of a civilian freighter by the Crusader Industries, particularly the C2 variant of the Hercules class of ships, TEC’s interconnectivity has increased substantially; with a higher chance of mitigating any attacks received through the use of superior shields and military-grade armour, alongside the large internal cargo hold for bulk or vehicles alike, enables TEC the ability to serve clients away from the UEE’s supportive reach, even reaching unstable systems such as the Kellog system.
TEC’s main objective is the transportation of assets to any destinations. However, recent changes to the organisation has allowed other work sectors to be integrated as part of its initiatives. The new organisation policies states that freelancing is allowed as another department within TEC, thus allowing the free expanse of knowledge, resources and the commitment between the company and its members to providing a secure connectivity within UEE’s borders and beyond. Another sector being looked upon is general mining and wreck salvaging; whilst the UEE settles currently at a relative peace with its neighbours, quasi-wars exist between the government, private military and the increasing threat of pirates and outlaws, thus ensuring an unfortunate supply of wreckage.
People depend on YOU. Either it a basic food, humanitarian or military needs. It is all about YOU, and your ability to bring those needed assets safely and securely.
It is also YOU that brings ideas, inspiration and creativity that will provide other methods that will best serve the citizens of the UEE in provision of our welfare and security. YOU have it, and YOU got it.
