Altus Exsilium [Æ] is an international multigaming community, we play team-based, cooperative games but enjoy PC gaming in general and will play anything that has a solid multiplayer component. Æ has been around in various incarnations for some time as a smaller group, however with some upcoming games on the horizon, most notably Star Citizen, Æ is looking to recruit new members and build a larger group in order to start putting together the framework for a cohesive SC organization. Membership of Æ is made up of adults (18+) from around the world who come from all different backgrounds. The leadership group spans from Europe to North America. We put a strong emphasis on recruiting international players, it creates a welcoming atmosphere while having members active at all hours of the day, this gives our members more opportunities to enjoy gaming sessions within the group aside from the usual primetime ones.

Members of Æ have been playing space-based MMOs, tactical and fast-paced shooters and team-based games for over a decade. We’re welcoming of players of all skill levels and experience but encourage competitive, skill-based gameplay. Although we use formal military ranks for organizing operations, all Æ members are considered equal, there is no drill-sergeant or intimidation factor involved in joining the group. Whether you just want to hang out and play casually and enjoy the game or want to play competitively while trying to improve your skills against other skilled players, Æ welcomes all players. Although certain gaming situations require serious attention, we’re still at our core a group of gamers just trying to have fun and enjoy the games we play. Our gametype focus will range from competitive FPS/combat on the ranked/leaderboards to casual PU exploration to roleplaying, we encourage our members to enjoy the verse how they want (as long as it’s legit).

Who we are

Altus Exsilium [Æ] is an international multi-gaming community currently setting up the initial stages of a Star Citizen organization as the 4.0 release draws closer. We’re a small but close-knit group looking to grow by recruiting like-minded individuals who share interest in similar games. We’re still very much in the planning aspect of the organization for SC as we learn more information and are looking for individuals who have the skills and resources to aid us in developing our group and organization.

What we do

Altus Exsilium’s role in Star Citizen is currently undetermined, our founding members have laid out a basic idea of our goals but the game is so early in development that it’s hard to make concrete organizational commitments with so much information yet to be released. Our base ideas are fairly simple, we come from heavy FPS and MMO backgrounds and believe Star Citizen will be the first large-scale game to incorporate both genres (among many others). Our initial plan is to build a corporation that is founded on solid membership, our organizational directives will be determined by our members as we get closer to the launch of the persistent universe.

What you can expect

The members of [Æ] are completely independent of other organizations, unions or military outfits unless explicitly stated otherwise. Although we are very much interested in joint-operations and contracts, we prefer to hold organizational autonomy without being at the mercy of additional or parent organizations. Our plan is to grow the organization into a relatively large, but manageable group where our members have an opportunity to play on their schedule with players from all over the world.
