Welcome to Aegis 7.

History

Dead Space origins

First formed during the conflicts of 2414 in an area known as ‘Dead Space’, Aegis VII mining operations quickly realised the need to band together in the black void of space. These colonists found that the only strength that they could rely upon was their fellow Aegis VII crew.

Planetside

As new conflicts arose, Aegis VII Operations joined the conflict planetside in open rebellion against the oppressive local government and technocratic extremists, a conflict that still rages on today, far flung from UEE controlled space. With the fight for freedom and destruction of spandex, this conflict spawned the bible of our times: the Code of Conduct.

To the Stars

Now based out of New Sydney, Aegis 7 Australia returned to the stars, reborn as an organization that consists of highly coordinated pilots who utilise their C.o.C in every score.

Manifesto

Our belief in each other is the only higher power out in the cold vastness of space. Following the Code, we conduct our business how we see fit. Our operations consist of small organized bands of highly effective groups to achieve each step in our path to the higher purpose. Should any stand in our way, we are prepared to achieve freedom by any means necessary.

A good team relies on good communication and the availability of real-time tactical information that can influence the strategic direction of the squadron, organisation or fleet. So it goes without saying why Aegis7 relies heavily on the usage of TeamSpeak for its ship-ship communications.

Just ask any Aegis 7 member for the TeamSpeak details to get in touch!

Ranks:

The Grandmaster:

Not much is known about the grandmaster. Rumors spread almost as fast as the Aegis 7 belief. Rumors range from the mediocre to the extreme. It is rumored that he holds a position of power within the government and that he has survived since the days of the Dead Space conflict, reviving numerous times using highly illegal alien cloning technologies.

Further ranks are still being developed.

Roles:

Roles are still being developed.

Charter

C.o.C.

The Code of Conduct, C.o.C or the Code is the laws by which Aegis 7 members conduct their operations. Like the systems of space, the Code is based upon orbits, starting with that which is most important.

————————————-

Ring 01: Friendly Fire

Purposely killing a friendly is highly discouraged even in self-defence or in retaliation or for revenge.

Why? Accidents can and do often happen. It’s best not to antagonise further. There might be a misunderstanding that lead to this, you’re best course of action is to attempt to communicate with the aggressor.

If you find yourself that you’ve accidentally fired upon a friendly, you should apologise immediately or as soon as practical.

However, if the subject in question is not friendly, by all means, go ahead.

Ring 02: Alternate Professions

We have a Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy. All members are trusted to spread our goodwill and our belief in freedom. Any quest to further that belief, from private security to forceful redistribution of wealth, is within our C.o.C.

Ring 03: Law of Space

Avoid trolling, ramming, pod killing of any kind.

Should you discover a life pod in distress, take all REASONABLE action to ensure their retrieval. It’s cold out there, and nobody wants to get left.

Ring 04: TeamSpeak Communication Channel

Show respect to friendlies over communications, especially the dedicated communications network, TeamSpeak.

Be mindful of anything you may choose to discuss as some content can be offensive to others. If someone feels uncomfortable or vocalises discomfort, you should cease and desist. If people start to need to mute you, then we have a problem and you need to change or face the music. If you feel something is crossing the line or may turn into something offensive, voice your concerns or speak to the person(s) directly or speak to ranking members privately. You shouldn’t need to feel uncomfortable.

Ring 05: Comms Discipline

Comm Silence means SHUT UP. When you hear “Comms Silence” you should abruptly stop talking, don’t even finish your sentence. Just stop and pay attention.

Prioritise the information relayed. It’s ok to chat, joke, ask questions – at the right time and place. Low priority conversation should stop immediately when someone interrupts with higher priority information, particularly when ranking members are trying to speak.

Ring 06: Chatting and Voice

Under no circumstances should you engage in abusing enemies or friendlies. Respect the dead. They may come back in the apocalypse.

Ring 07: Music and Sound Clips

DO play music or sound clips over internal communications when requested or you feel it’s awesome to do it.

DON’T play music or sound clips over open broadcasts. Someone with a bigger fleet may not appreciate our gospel
