Ashes of the Crescent / AOCT

Long before the name Ashes of the Crescent was created with, there were only ashes — scattered groups, and drifters.

Some were warriors without purpose. Others were drifters and merchants not knowing who to band with. A couple groups rose quickly, only to collapse under greed, ego, or fear. In the chaos, countless skilled fighters were left wandering without a home.

Two special forces operators who had survived the destruction of a separate faction.
A merchant who infiltrates and extracts high value loot.
A nepo baby shaped by his family of wealth.
And a banisher who watched his alliance abandon its own people during war.\

Each carried the ashes of something lost.

At first, they met only out of necessity — temporary allies surviving against larger forces that sought to wipe out smaller groups entirely. But over time, they banded together. They realized they all shared the same vision: a united force built on loyalty, resilience, and earned trust.

We gather fighters without banners, leaders without armies, Drifters who refused to disappear.

Under the light of a crescent moon, they forged a new oath.

The crescent became our symbol — a reminder that even in darkness, light remains. The ashes represented every fallen alliance, every betrayal, every defeat they endured before rising again stronger than before.

Thus, Ashes of the Crescent was born.

A unity forged in ruin.

As the organization grows the Ashes of the Crescent welcomes those willing to fight beside each other, regardless of their past allegiances, and all walks of the verse. Every member carries a different history, but together we build a single force.

To this day, new recruits are told the same words spoken by the founders on the night the banner first rose:

“From the ashes of the old world, we rise beneath the Crescent.”
