“Our eyes have searched the breadth of her face, that blanket of starlight, and there we have found the heart of creation, her curiosity and love.”
Shepherd Laam Ne, Argonaut

The Order of Wenros the Wayfarer was founded after the first epiphany in 2788 on the planet Gen in the Terra System. Nine were commissioned by our Mother of Stars to leave on a pilgrimage as discalced wayfarers. They were known as the first Wenron mystics, the Shepherds of our order, and they explored the universe inasmuch as their monetary capacity allowed them, keeping track of their journeys in a communal Codex of Pilgrimage, to which every wayfarer contributes. Each of the Shepherds brought no more than one each into our fold over the course of their lives, teaching them our vows so that their pilgrimage might continue beyond their deaths. This very year, 2942, the eventuality that the accumulation of excess funds in the occasional minor deposit into a shared, off-world account promised brought about the opportunity for purchasing a star ship of our own. Up until this point, we had only been argonauts, travelling between worlds in payed-for transportation. But that ship, an MISC Freelancer that we christened the Ieluc-Nom, has given us the means for sending four of our own out as astronauts.
Our order, the Astronauts of the Order of Wenros the Wayfarer, is devoted to two things:
Each devotion corresponds to two creative actions by which we actualize the Goddess’ presence in ourselves, respectively:
The necessity to exercise our creative actions is satisfied in that we have been commissioned under vow to explore the unknown. That is our pilgrimage, and this is what it consists in: a divine imperative upon creation that is essentially existential affirmation of the beauty that is our creatureliness. We are not evangelists. We are not crusaders. We are children of our Mother of Stars, Wenros the Wayfarer.
The assembling of some of us as astronauts under our ship, the Ieluc-Nom, does not mean that we do hold to the same tradition as our argonautical brothers and sisters. So while what has been put forth is the charter of the Order of Wenros the Wayfarer, our being the Astronauts of the Order of Wenros the Wayfarer does not mean that we need our own separate code.
