Explorers, Scouts, Info Brokers, Salvagers, Adventurers, Scientists, Archaeologists…

The Terran Archaeological Society welcomes you.

Our staff is very busy, and applications may take time to process.

History

After the strange ruins in the southern hemisphere of Terra were discovered, scholars and scientists flocked to the system to discover what they could. Eventually, with such a high number of these individuals, an organization had to be formed that would speak for them. Over the years, the Terran Archaeological Society has evolved into a group of like-minded spacefaring explorers, scientists, and their crews who seek out the mysteries of both the known and the unknown.

Manifesto

Sometimes the greatest explorers look not where we haven’t been, but where we’ve forgotten.

-Original Society’s charter

The Terran Archaeological Society’s mission is to discover the mysteries of the ‘Verse, and to share this new knowledge with the people. We are a group of like-minded individuals who explore alone, with a crew, or in a fleet to shine light into the dark of space.

There are two ways to be a part of the Society:

Member

Members are the core of the group, taking part in convoys and large group missions. These missions benefit the Organization as a whole and give back to the Star Citizen community. Jobs range from ship pilots and crew, EVA specialists, and lore/info experts to citizens who record footage of these expeditions to further expand the knowledge of the ‘Verse.

Affiliate

These are the lone wolves, the group of friends in a Carrack, and the info brokers who all need a safety net and a group to fall back on. If you can contribute to the group once in a while, whether with credits, information, offering crew positions on your ship, loaning a ship, or just being there, we will help you when you need it. Our convoys can provide Search and Rescue services if there is another crew in need, and we will help fund missions, retrieve lost cargo, and make sure every expedition gets home safely.

Charter

1. Be decent and tolerant of each other’s differences. Friendly competition between members is encouraged, even rivalries. But please don’t let your personal issues make the experience bad for others.

2. Help each other out. If another member is being attacked by some smugglers, you should save them. They might even let you share the reward for whatever they’ve found on their travels.

3. Ranks do not mean you have control over someone else. Rather, they show someone’s job within the Org. A captain of a salvage vessel would have about as much experience as a newer archaeologist, and the only “rank” that should matter is experience.

4. While this is a casual Org, we would still like to be well-respected. This doesn’t mean yelling “WE’RE THE BEST” everywhere, it just means being consistent with our values so that clients know the personality of our group.

5. You are free to be a member of another Org, as long as it doesn’t deal in illegal practices (piracy, smuggling, etc.) or cause trouble.
