History
Astraeus began with two childhood friends, bound together by hardship in the super-slums of Earth. Their shared dream of something greater carried them through a youth defined by scarcity, danger, and an unwavering reliance on one another.
Adulthood pulled them in different directions. Each pursued his own path—one towards salvage and cargo work, the other toward mining and support operations—convinced that success waited just over the next horizon.
Years later, fate brought them back together in the least dignified of places: a Klesher prison cell, after a disastrously miscalculated smuggling job. In that grim reunion, old ambitions resurfaced. They lacked business experience, but not drive, and certainly not audacity.
Pooling their combined skills and stubborn optimism, they set out once more—taking contracts few others wanted, learning as they went, failing often but refusing to stay down. Slowly, the tide turned. Their successes began outnumbering their failures, and their reputation started to spread.
When the time came to formalize their enterprise, they named it after the ship that had once pulled them from the brink: Astraeus. A symbol of endurance, unity, and the idea that even the most unlikely beginnings can lead to the stars.
Manifesto
We are an entrepreneurial collective of spacefarers carving out our share of both the known and the undiscovered. Astraeus was built on the belief that opportunity is everywhere if you know where to look — in asteroid belts, derelict stations, forgotten lanes, or the shadowed corners of frontier systems where the brave (or foolish) dare to go.
Our strengths lie in support and industrial operations: mining the stones others fly past, salvaging what others leave behind, hauling what others won’t touch, and keeping the engines of the verse turning. But we are more than the work we do. We are explorers, makers, problem-solvers, and specialists united by a simple truth — that fortune favors those willing to get their hands dirty.
We chase the next quantanium rush, the next salvage jackpot, the next contract big enough to make our accounts sing. Yet no matter how high the payout climbs, some things remain off-limits. We never betray our own. Not for credits, not for pressure, not for promises made in dark corners by people who talk with their hands too much. Profit is negotiable — loyalty is not. Bonds forged in hardship are stronger than steel, and we protect them fiercely.
Astraeus stands as a refuge for those who work with integrity, grit, and a healthy appreciation for the grey areas of legality. We operate with determination, adaptability, and a dash of creative interpretation of UEE regulations. Not outlaws. Not saints. Something in between — the kind of people who get the job done with a smile and paperwork that is, in most cases, technically valid.
We carve out our own destiny. We lift each other up. We rise together, no matter how unforgiving the frontier becomes. In the vastness of space, unity is our greatest asset and opportunity our guiding star.
We are Astraeus.
