Founded January 1st 2948 by Necronominal and Dizoyle. They started with a single Argo Mole, mining the toxic gas filled moon of Aberdeen, slowly bringing load after load of valuable ore to the slums of Lorville. One by one, they built up a fleet of mining and shipping ships, from the Orion to the Hull E. The taste of success was so sweet and Astro Industries was taking off. February 27th 2949 everything changed, the Orion was running a mining operation out by Yela in the Crusader system when the infamous Nine Tails gang struck. At that time, Astro Industries wasn’t called Astro Aegis Industries. We didn’t have security escorts running with our mining and shipping operations. The Nine Tails gang were flying 2 Drake Cutless Blacks and a Drake Caterpillar, classic pirate formation. The Orion was taking heavy damage, the left engine was destroyed, there were numerous hull breaches, it looked liked we were going to lose the ship. That’s when an Aegis Vanguard Harbinger and two Aegis Eclipse’s showed up. The emergency beacon actually worked. The Harbinger quickly disposed of the two Cutlass Blacks and both Eclipse’s each fired two torpedos rendering the Caterpillar into a ball of flames. Aegis, another word for protection. That is how we are known as Astro Aegis Industries. From there we added a security and protection division and built up the fleet accordingly, adding ships like the Kraken and Polaris. We have now expanded into exploration, repair, science, construction and all aspects of industry. Astro Aegis Industries: We are the money!
