Aureus Outriders / AUREUS

Aureanite history stretches back to the days of old Earth. Beginning as a private military contractor during sporadic fighting in South America in the year 2583.

Brave soldiers banded together to bring decorum and civility to the conflict, and through discipline and strength at arms would triumph over all who stood in the path of peace.

With the proliferation of QT drive technology, and the commercialization of space faring technology under RSI, the leaders of Aureus would form the Outrider Core, a group of experienced soldiers and engineers, offering security and logistics support to understaffed merchant and exploration vessels. With the abundant wealth brought by this new revenue stream, the Aureus would undergo a massive transition.

Buying military surplus, and retrofitting whatever the Outriders could get their hands on, a formidable security escort force would be created, and the veterans who had served as hired crew on the ships of others found themselves commanding and flying their own vessels. Their experience was invaluable, and the Aureus Outriders were able to offer unparalleled services with the turn of the 30th century. As if to affirm this glory, the Outriders were granted contract rights in UEE space and began to operate independent salvage, security, and industrial contracts in lawless space, bringing civilization to the frontier.
