History

You’re out at the edge, far from home, on the verge of a discovery that will rewrite history…

… and your port side number two thruster dies. Sure, you could limp home and get a new one, but you spent three weeks finding this place and you’ll be damned if you’re giving up now. Besides, with that thruster out, the canyon you’re in has become much more treacherous. You still have comms, though, and your backers have promised to spare no expense on this expedition. You could use more rations, too, come to think of it.

You put out a call.

Within hours, a courier is en-route, a brand new thruster and cases of rations safely stowed in the cargo bay. By tomorrow afternoon you’ll be repaired and resupplied, ready for anything this inhospitable planet throws your way….

The race is across the system and registration closes in four hours…

… but your STV’s left-rear and spare are both flat and last you heard your regular mechanic was somewhere in the Tayac system.

We’ve got you covered. In half an hour, a Zeus is on its way, stopping at the nearest R&R to pick up two wheel assemblies, 6 SCU of fuel, and a box of sandwiches and CRUZ for good measure.

Aves Group was founded in 2946 on Earth to support the explorers, scientists, and adventurers of the present day and the future as humanity continues in its quest to learn more about the universe. To that end, or fleet is prepared to support your expedition, your competition, or your day-to-day profession.

Code of Conduct

As representatives of the Aves Group, all Members are expected to abide by the principles of Professionalism, Dedication, and Safety while engaging in Group business.

  • Professionalism
    1. Members will treat all others with integrity.
    2. Members will mantain appropriate discretion.
    3. Members will dedicate themselves to the task at hand while on Group business.
  • Dedication
    1. Members will complete assignments to the best of their ability and in a timely manner.
    2. Members will not overburden themselves to the point where their ability to complete assignments satisfactorily would be compromised.
    3. Members will maintain their skills to an appropriate level.
  • Safety
    1. Members will protect themselves, others, and their cargo from harm to the best of their ability.
    2. Members will avoid unnecessary risks and confrontation when reasonably possible; should conflict prove unavoidable, Members will fight to win.

Above all, Members are expected to act in a respectful and mature manner at all times, whether on Group business or working individually. Failure to do so may result in removal from the Organization at the sole discretion of the Executive(s).

Organizational Structure

All Members are encouraged to offer suggestions and requests, so long as they are presented in good faith with honesty and respect. However, Aves Group is not a democracy – the Executive(s) will guide Group policy, taking into consideration the opinions and input of other Members.

Substantial changes to the Group’s mission (including its Manifesto and Charter), should they occur, will be announced to the Membership before they take effect. At such a time, Members’ opinions and input relating to the proposed changes will be solicited and reviewed.

Ranks within the Organization are not necessarily indicative of organizational power or hierarchy – they are primarily descriptors of jobs within Aves Group.

If you wish to leave the Organization for any reason on good terms, you are free to do so without any ill will.

Other Miscellany – Breaking the 4th Wall

Primary Language: English
We welcome people of all languages, but official Group communications will be conducted primarily in English. If you speak another language and would be willing to translate as needed, that is fantastic – thank you. If needed, requests for translation should be sent out on the group chat.

Respect and Openmindedness
This is a game. We all come from different walks of life and have different views on the world, religion, politics, life, and everything else. If you wish to talk casually about such things, please feel free to do so privately and on your own time, but keep in mind that others may have differing views. Do not push your own views on others about anything outside of or not relevant to the game universe. This is not the place for that. Derogatory remarks, harassment, etc. may result in removal from the Organization with or without warning, at zekompozer’s sole discretion.

Founding
Aves Group was founded by zekompozer on February 17th, 2016.
(Yes, that was before CIG introduced the AVES helmet and armor set, which we love.)
