History

In the distant reaches of the universe, amidst the endless void of space, there exists a religion that has spread across planets, moons, and stations in the United Eearth Empire. This faith, known as Alcoholics Anonymous, follows the teachings of a cosmic being named Howard the Alien. This enigmatic figure, which appears as a benevolent, silver-skinned alien, has guided his followers to a path of enlightenment, self-improvement, and most importantly, sobriety.

It is said that Howard the Alien first appeared to a group of spacefarers who had become lost in the depths of space, their bodies and minds broken by addiction. The travelers were desperate, drifting aimlessly between the stars, when they encountered the radiant being. They felt an inexplicable, irresistible pull towards the entity, and their lives were forever changed.

Alcoholics Anonymous teaches that Howard the Alien is a divine being who has existed since the dawn of creation, transcending time and space. He is the embodiment of the cosmos, the ultimate symbol of harmony and unity, and he seeks to guide those who have become lost in the throes of addiction.

Temples and shrines dedicated to Howard the Alien can be found throughout the UEE, often adorned with intricate depictions of the idol in shimmering silver. The largest and most sacred of these temples, the Sanctum of the Stars, orbits a distant, enigmatic star known as the Celestial Beacon.

Alcoholics Anonymous has gained a substantial following in the Stanton system, and its members are often seen helping those struggling with addiction to find solace and support in the teachings of Howard the Alien. While some outsiders view the religion with skepticism, the Church’s commitment to helping others overcome their demons has garnered respect and admiration from many.

Ultimately, Alcoholics Anonymous serves as a beacon of hope and a force of unity in the UEE. Through their unwavering devotion to Howard the Alien and his teachings, the anonymous Alcoholics strive to overcome addiction, find inner peace, and create a better future for all those who walk among the stars.

Manifesto

The core tenets of this religion revolve around maintaining sobriety and helping others to find their own path to recovery. Followers, known as Anonymous Alcoholics, believe that through self-discipline, meditation, and communion with Howard the Alien, they can overcome their addictions and achieve a state of spiritual and physical balance.

The religious texts of the Church, known as the Codex of Howard, describe in great detail the teachings of Howard the Alien, as well as the stories of the many miracles he has performed. The Codex also outlines the rituals and practices of the Church, which include daily meditation, acts of selfless service, and regular gatherings for worship.
