Azure Legion History

Azure Legion is the official Star Citizen Wing of Azure Infinitum, a gaming community founded in 2014 on the principles of friendship, loyalty, unity, and adventure. Established as part of Azure’s ongoing expansion into new worlds and gaming frontiers, Azure Legion was created to provide a home for pilots, explorers, industrialists, soldiers, traders, and adventurers seeking to experience the ‘verse together in an organized, welcoming, and community-focused environment.

From humble beginnings, Azure Legion aims to maintain a thriving organization with a fleet numbering well over one hundred ships and a membership spanning a wide variety of playstyles and experience levels. Whether participating in Frontier Sundays, exploration expeditions, industrial operations, combat deployments, salvage recovery, or simply enjoying the beauty of the Stanton, Pyro, and Nyx systems, our members have helped establish Azure Legion as a respected and enduring presence within Star Citizen. Through patches, wipes, free-fly events, and years of development, our pilots have remained committed to helping one another and building something greater than themselves.

Today, Azure Legion stands as a testament to the same ideals that have guided Azure Infinitum for more than a decade: that communities are strongest when built on friendship, mutual respect, and shared adventure. As Star Citizen continues its journey toward the future, Azure Legion remains dedicated to exploring the unknown, supporting its members, and leaving its mark upon the stars.

Azure Infinitum History

Founded in 2014, with its roots dating back to the early 2000’s, Azure Infinitum began as a small Final Fantasy XIV Free Company with a simple vision: to create a lasting home where players could form genuine friendships, share adventures, and enjoy gaming together free from the pressures and toxicity often found elsewhere. Guided by the motto “As Free As The Azure Sky!”, Azure quickly grew into one of the most active and recognizable communities on Midgardsormr Server and throughout the wider FFXIV community.

Over the years, Azure evolved beyond a single guild into a multi-game gaming network supporting players across numerous worlds and genres. Through thousands of community events, tournaments, celebrations, raids, expeditions, contests, and social gatherings, Azure has connected countless players from around the world. The community has weathered expansions, game launches, industry changes, server migrations, and every challenge that comes with maintaining a long-term online community, emerging stronger through each chapter.

Today, Azure Infinitum stands as one of the longest-running and most established gaming communities of its kind, supported by a dedicated leadership team and members who share a commitment to camaraderie, kindness, and adventure. While games may change and worlds may come and go, Azure’s mission remains the same as it was on the day it was founded: to provide a welcoming home where friendships can flourish, memories can be made, and new adventures are always waiting beyond the horizon.

Since its origins in the early 2000’s, originating as Run Around:Network- a community and collaborating media under Hikaru Kazushime- Azure Infinitum has created and managed a global network community spanning various fandoms, media, and entertainment sub-cultures, hosting a site as its central hub at the global Azure Infinitum Network site https://www.azure-net.com with our community site at https://www.azureinfinitum.com
