History

The state of the Stanton System in regards to mining is such that the vast majority of mining companies and trade organizations are focused on acquiring and selling only the most profitable “meta” resources and materials, at the exclusion of nearly all other commodities.

The problem with this: everyone ELSE has the same idea. Conflict, competition, injuries, and fatalities are inevitable… with the strongest or most organized gangs succeeding.

However, always going for the biggest and most lucrative means the less-optimal resources are overlooked, and also overlooked are the benefits to working with and for those less-lucrative ores and metals:

Availability, lack of competition, ease of extraction, ease of refinement, and demand.

These factors make mining for the more common materials profitable in their own right. By acquiring and selling these materials, BEDROCK MINING offers quick, stable, and consistent profits with less risk of losing wealth, assets, or lives – all in a more relaxed work environment.

This does not mean that mining for common ores is boring. Mining is complicated and dangerous work as-is… without all of the bandits running amok throughout the system. Understanding of Navigation in Space, good piloting skills, and knowledge of ores, tools, and methods all combine to make a job as engaging as the next, while still providing the benefits of BEDROCK’s focus: under-the-radar, small-team mining operations.

Manifesto

With the rest of the Stanton System embroiled in a flurry of piracy, smuggling, gun-running, and battling over higher-tier resources, it can be difficult to make a decent living out there alone.

BEDROCK MINING focuses on small-scale, low-profile mining of the resources everyone else overlooks in the rush for the “meta” moneymaking schemes. The gist here is that strength in numbers, coordinated effort, knowing your stuff, and “working the bottom” attains a profitability of its own when done consistently, reliably, and with less heated competition.

Should more difficult (but profitable) mining opportunities arise, or should anyone try to disrupt our honest work… you have a team to back you up.

Charter

BEDROCK offers a relaxed approach to space mining. Please be mature and behave in a civilized manner… we are a spacefaring civilization after all.
Discrimination or Harassment is not tolerated.
Trolls and Cheaters are not welcome – we are all here to enjoy the game and mine some asteroids.

General Rules:
Some type of mining equipment is required: a mining ship and/or ROC mining buggy and/or handheld mining tool works. . . as long as you can break rocks.
Armor, Clothing, Weapons and Gear, and ships flown are all personal preference, so long as you can do the job.
