Black Field Gear / BFGHALCYON

Black Field Gear Inc.(BFG) was founded in 2878 by Zygmunt “Zyllah” Lokellah and Lady Britania as a supplier of raw materials for the SynthWorld Project. It’s mining vessels operating in the debris that were once the outer planets of the Chronos System. BFG also ran small scale search & rescue and salvage units. This was in response to the death of Lady Britania, just one of a large number of accidents due to gravimetric anomalies left over from both planets destruction.

By 2920 the SynthWorld Project had slowed considerably and contracts for materials were reduced, forcing BFG to broaden it’s scope. It invested heavily into it’s salvaging fleet as the price for ship components had inflated drastically due to the increase in ship production. Salvaging became a staple as both a supply of parts for it’s own fleets as well as for resale.

BFG formed the subsidiary Black Field Logistics(BFL) when it won 2 contracts to supply the 18th Battle Fleet which is permanently stationed at Chronos. it’s fleet has grown considerably as it has expanded into private and commercial contracts as well as its military commitments.

BFG was purchase by Halcyon Interstellar(HALCYONINT) in 2936 at which point BFG was stream-lined and more ressembled what it had started out as, a mining and resource gathering entity. It’s company tags changed to reflect it’s new ownership, BFGHALCYON. BFL became an entity unto itself and is now strictly a logistical entity. it’s tags being changed to BFLHALCYON. BFG’s search & rescue wing was divided and reassigned to enhance the Health and Safety departments of the subsidiaries of HALCYONINT.
