History

Where we came from:

Bloodlust Brotherhood began in 2009 on World of Warcraft. As The Wrath of the Lich King expansion was settling, a group of players sought the oportunity to grow a community. With the release of Cataclysm, the numbers started to grow.

From here, we expanded into PvM, PvE, and trading.
Soon, we found ourselves competing with some of the largest and most successful US guilds.

Through the years, our community has grown into several thousand people, between many games. We have over a decade of experience running events, managing organizations, and maximizing our community value to our members.

Where we are going:

Now that you know a brief history of our past; why don’t you join us as we traverse into the future?

Star Citizen is still in its infancy as a game. However, we believe the game has reached a point where a community can be viable.

We believe that the future holds great opportunities for Bloodlust Brotherhood but most importantly, great opportunities for you.

Join us for the adventure

Manifesto

Bloodlust Brotherhood believes that to be the best, you have to invest in your community.

We will strive to ensure that our members have opportunity. We do not believe in gatekeeping roles in our community. If you have initiative to help others, or the organization, you will hold a strong place with this organization. Or, if you are wanting to be a casual member, you will be more than welcome to be with us.

Our goal is to grow our community, teach/learn from each other, and become a central part of in-game activity. This starts with you

What we do for our members

  • We will help you in desired skills
  • We will help you propel towards your goals
  • We will help you remain safe while in the Verse

Charter

This is where we will exit the role play-style for a moment. This is important to us. While running a large community we have ran into just about every scenario you could think of. So we have ground rules for how you interact within our community, especially with things that can bleed over into real life.

========================================================================================================

IN-GAME CONDUCT:

We do not want to govern your activity in the game. Play the game as you wish. However, we do expect you to at minimum follow the below rules in-game specifically when interacting with other organization members. Trust me, we do not want to micromanage everything you say and do.

We do retain the right to remove you from the org if your behavior does not meet our standards.

No one will be removed without notice or without warning; exceptions for people who violate the IRL legal rules.

========================================================================================================

LEGAL RULES:

Zero tolerance (immediate ban and removal from discord server and company):

  • Rule 1: Content that violates United States federal law
    • Rule 1-A: what we are specifically referring to here is content that violates Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) 20 U.S.C 9134, including amendment 47 U.S.C 254.
      There is a link to this act provided here https://www.fcc.gov/sites/default/files/childrens_internet_protection_act_cipa.pdf
    • Rule 1-B: violation of this rule can result in evidence being stored, saved, and reported to the proper authorities.

Most people can read between the lines on this rule but if you are confused about what this is, please ask admin/leadership.

========================================================================================================

ACTIONABLE RULES:

Strictly enforced:

  • RULE 2: No harassment of any sort. Specifically, regarding religion, race, gender, ethnicity, language, country of origin, or culture.
    • RULE 2-A Hate language such as commonly used slurs towards minority groups

====================================================================================================

GUIDELINES:

Think of these moreso as a courtesy/general respect set of rules. These arent inherently actionable meaning you more than likely wont recieve a ban, mute, or warning about these things. However, if needed, some of these issues will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis in private.

Loosely enforced, circumstantial:

  • RULE 3: Steer away from politics, specifically divisive topics. This isn’t something that you will get muted or kicked for specifically but since this can lead to divisive arguments, its best to keep this in private chat.
    • RULE 3-A: To specify; we don’t want debate about things pertaining to restricting or granting rights to groups of people or individuals. This rule is referring to topics such as abortion, gay rights, etc.
    • RULE 3-B: This rule does not apply to, for example; topics such as USA dependency on raw materials from China for pharmaceutical manufacturing, or USA credit-banks using predatory lending practices to target low income individuals. ——— While these topics are “political” to some degree, they are not directly challenging the rights of groups of people or individuals.
  • RULE 4: Don’t experience-shame. Everyone is at a different level of ability and experience with every game. Try not to be rude if people are requesting help or aren’t aware of something.
    • RULE 4-A: This is one of those scenarios where its better to say nothing than to be rude.

====================================================================================================

These rules will be available in the Discord server under the main #rules page. If the rules are updated on there, they will more than likely be updated here. If rules are changed, there will be an archive of the old set of rules for reference of the changes made.
