Every frontier is worth pushing and every life worth saving, the Blackstar Initiative charts a path through mystery, danger, and wonder.
Call us scoundrels, call us mercenaries—but to those in need, we’re the only ones who’ll help The Blackstar Initiative, Into the unknown, for those left behind.
Name’s Victor Blackstar. Used to be a soldier—First Tevarin War. Fought for the side that claimed it was bringing order to the stars. Spent years on the front, boots in the mud, rifle in hand, doin’ what I was told. Then came an order I couldn’t stomach: wipe out a civilian settlement just ‘cause some brass figured it was easier than sorting truth from rumor.
I said no.
Command didn’t like that much. They called it insubordination—I called it conscience. Got myself a dishonorable discharge and a reputation that don’t wash off easy. Not that I’d want it to. I’d rather wear my choices than run from ‘em.
Didn’t take long to figure the ‘verse still needed folks willing to stand up when it counts—just not the shiny kind. So I found an old junker of a ship, put her back in the sky, and started the Blackstar Initiative. We take odd jobs, help folks who’ve been forgotten, and keep flying where others won’t. If we find some rare treasure along the way, so be it. My crew? They’re misfits, outcasts, and damn fine people. Not perfect, but they’ve all got their reasons for being here—same as me.
We ain’t out here to be heroes. Just trying to do some good, keep our boat in the sky, and maybe sleep at night knowing we didn’t sell our soul to do it.
The Blackstar Initiative is a rogue, independent spacefaring organization built on grit, loyalty, and a hunger for the unknown. Operating on the edge of explored space, and into the depths of where few dare to fly, Blackstar is a collective of intrepid explorers, problem-solvers, and highly skilled specialists for hire. Whether it’s salvaging wreckage in hostile sectors,* uncovering forgotten ruins* on desolate moons, brokering peace between feuding colonies, finding rare treasures at abandoned outposts, or aiding those left behind by larger factions, Blackstar takes the jobs no one else will.
Fueled by the idea that every frontier is worth pushing and every life worth saving, the Blackstar Initiative charts a path through mystery, danger, and wonder. Some call us scoundrels, others call us mercenaries—but to those in need, we’re the only ones who’ll help.

I. The Mission
We do the jobs others won’t. Simple as that. Ain’t no one’s saviors, but when it’s a mess and no one else can or will help, we show up. Whether it’s cleanin’ up someone else’s mess or takin’ a little risk, it’s work that needs doin’, so we do it.
⸻
II. Loyalty
Crew First: You’ve got problems, we’ve got each other’s backs. We fight for the crew, no one gets left behind.
Respect: No matter who you are or where you come from, if you’re part of this crew, you’re family. Everyone gets a say.
⸻
III. The Work
No Job Too Small: Doesn’t matter how big or small the job is. If it’s a task that needs doin’, we’re on it.
Keep Your Word: We say we’ll do it, we do it. Ain’t no room for backstabbin’ or double-crossin’.
Stay Out of Politics: We don’t care about governments or corporations. We care about the people who need help and are willin’ to pay for it.
⸻
IV. Honor
Only Fight When Necessary: We ain’t out here lookin’ for trouble, but we don’t shy away from it neither. If there’s a fight, we finish it.
Fair Treatment: Everyone’s got their role and their worth. You don’t treat folks like garbage, no matter what their status is.
Respect the Law (When It Makes Sense): Law’s a funny thing, ain’t it? It ain’t perfect, but we follow it when it’s right. When it’s not, well we do what needs doin’.
⸻
V. The Code
Respect the Black: This ship, this crew, the black itself—treat it like it’s your own.
Stay Cool Under Pressure: Things get rough sometimes. You don’t panic, you don’t lose your head. You keep goin’.
Make Do: We don’t wait for someone else to fix things. We roll up our sleeves and get it done ourselves.
⸻
VI. Enforcement
Look, if you break the code, we’ll deal with it. Ain’t no long drawn-out processes—either you’re with the crew or you’re not. You break the trust, you’re out. Simple.

In Conclusion:
We ain’t heroes. Hell, we ain’t even tryin’ to be. We’re just people, doin’ what’s right when nobody else will. We show up when it’s time, and we leave things a little better than we found ’em. You stick by that, and we’ll all get along just fine
