Who we are: The Blackwater Legion is a very unique organization. We do not simply do events, training, nor do we simply plunder. What we do share are our goals. Where we differ are our means of obtaining it. We all have one thing in common — a team.
History
We believe that the reward of one’s labor should not be confined to a wire transfer of UEE credit. Rather, it should be in many resources. By lending yourself to our organization, you are obtaining bonuses by inserting yourself into a self-fulfilling life cycle. What do we have to offer?
- A network of spies, well-paid contractors whose skills are essential to operations. These spies provide the intelligence, numbers, and specialty to allow the impossible to be achieved. In addition, any recruit may become a spy. Any member of our organization, in good standing, shall receive the opportunity to show their merit in the field. A career as a spy is lucrative, rewarding, and invaluable.
- Aerial and infantry support. We are able to provide this due to the fact that those who benefit must also contribute. Therefore, if you are ever in daunting trouble, call upon us for assistance. We will assist you in combat, negotiation, finances, or otherwise.
- Well-established connections and trade routes, established specifically for the trade of illicit goods. Whatever you may collect, we will provide every resource available to assure that you may succeed in your endeavors, legal or otherwise.
- Generous payment and compensation for contributions in raids, reconnaissance, logistical work, etc. In addition to many other benefits, every member receives worthy compensation for their contributions.
- Training, experience, and the opportunity to show your true skills. The ability to use our system to be rewarded for your unique skillset.
For centuries, our organization has operated under various guises, obtaining whatever we have sought and desired. Throughout our journey, we have encountered many victories, yet losses have not been forgone. Through precise and systematic refinery, we have fine-tuned the principles of our organization. We are not a band of pirates and looters, but a band of allies, seeking to survive in this world, relying on each other. Those who stand under us may heed, or they may fall. Those who stand above us are our allies until they stand under us. Those who stand near us may heed, or they may fall. Those who stand with us shall prosper.
Manifesto
We are not a group of bandits, nor are we a group of pirates, nor are we a group of criminals or any other label. We are a group of scavengers, military veterans, pirates and raiders, couriers, and those who oppose the system which we have been placed into. Any may join our ranks, so long as they heed our rules and demands.
We intend to collect that which is ours. To simply define a good or individual which we seek is to limit ourselves to a two-dimensional way of thought. Rather, we seek an idea. We seek that which fulfills our concepts and realities of luxury, fulfillment, and/or contentment. Whether this is a chest of golden coins, a finely-tuned CF-117 Badger Repeater, or a luxury travelling craft does not matter. We know what we desire, and will stop at nothing, for nobody to attain that ideal.
Charter
A member of the Blackwater Legion will kill if ordered, or in self-defense.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will show no fear to the face of the law, but rather, his superiors who dictate their interaction with the law.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will show his humanity to his fellow Legionnaires.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will always prepare himself for any occasion, dressing professional when necessary, armorclad when entering combat, and suited when entering space and airlocks.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will keep their self well trained, shaped, and sharp, both mentally and physically.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will request to avoid combat when out of condition, for a severe reason, whatever it may be, but will be punished if this is repeatedly due to their own hand.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will show respect to superiors when in a formal setting, and shall act humanely and civilized, yet realistically, in another setting.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will never slay his fellow Legionnaire, unless that Legionnaire threatens the Legion, and no other action can be taken..
A member of the Blackwater Legion will never act arbitrarily or whimsically, for personal gain nor that of the Legion, but will instead calculate his movements and decisions.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will never perform an incriminating act without sanction and order from their Legate or above.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will never speak any of the inner workings of the Blackwater Legion to any individual, system, or sentient being or presence unless otherwise permitted by a Legate or above.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will never allow himself to be put in unreasonable danger for reasons that may seem to benefit the Legion, without sanction and permission from a Legate or above.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will never disobey the direct order of his superior, under absolutely no circumstances, and will respect that their superior has been elected with sound judgement.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will never steal from his fellow Legionnaire, nor the Legion, unless personally ordered by the General.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will never hide reasonable criticisms of the Legion in fear of seeming out of line.
A member of the Blackwater Legion will never act in a barbaric way, be it insulting a stranger, raping a woman, or harming a child unless deemed necessary by a superior, or in directly life-threatening cases.
