The History of Black Meridian

Black Meridian began with a simple idea: in a verse full of danger and opportunity, there’s money to be made by those willing to take the risk.

What started as a small independent outfit taking the occasional contract soon grew into something more. Bounty hunting led to security work, security work opened doors to private military operations, and along the way, trade routes and valuable connections became just as important as firepower.

Over time, Black Meridian built a reputation for getting the job done, looking after its own, and never turning down a profitable opportunity. We learned that a successful operation takes more than a good pilot or a loaded weapon. It takes a reliable crew, the right equipment, and people willing to work together.

Today, Black Meridian operates across the verse as an independent organisation built on combat, commerce, and camaraderie. We’re not here to play politics or pretend we’re heroes. We’re here to make money, take contracts, build connections, and enjoy the ride.

The universe is vast, opportunity is everywhere, and there’s always a contract waiting for someone willing to take it.

Black Meridian was built on a simple belief: you don’t have to fly alone to make your mark across the verse. Whether you’re a bounty hunter chasing your next target, a pilot protecting a valuable shipment, a trader looking for profitable routes, or a soldier answering the call, there’s a place for you here.

We believe in opportunity. Every contract, every trade, and every new connection is a chance to build something bigger. We share knowledge, open trade routes, help our members source equipment, and make sure our people have the support they need to succeed.

We believe in our own. A good crew is worth more than the biggest ship in the system. We work together, back each other up, and make sure nobody has to face the verse alone.

We believe in freedom. We’re an independent outfit. We choose our contracts, forge our own alliances, and make our own way. No unnecessary politics, no pointless bureaucracy, and no pretending this is anything other than a game we’re here to enjoy.

ORGANISATION CHARTER

ARTICLE I — OUR PURPOSE

Black Meridian exists to bring together players who want to make money, take contracts, explore the verse, and enjoy Star Citizen as part of a reliable crew. We operate across bounty hunting, combat, security, trading, cargo hauling, and other profitable opportunities.

Our goal is simple: build a capable, self-sufficient organisation where members can have fun, support one another, and succeed together.

ARTICLE II — OUR PRINCIPLES

Loyalty. We look out for our fellow members and don’t leave our crew behind without good reason.

Opportunity. We encourage members to pursue profitable ventures, share opportunities, and help others progress.

Cooperation. Working together makes us stronger. We share knowledge, coordinate when needed, and respect each other’s contributions.

Independence. Black Meridian chooses its own path. We value freedom, initiative, and common sense over unnecessary rules.

Enjoyment. This is a game, not a second job. Real life comes first, and nobody should feel pressured to play.

ARTICLE III — MEMBERSHIP

Black Meridian welcomes new and experienced players alike. No prior military, combat, or trading experience is required.

Members are expected to:

  • Treat fellow members and other players with respect.
  • Communicate honestly and act in good faith.
  • Contribute when reasonably able, without being expected to play constantly.
  • Avoid unnecessary internal drama and behaviour that damages the organisation.
  • Respect agreements made with fellow members.

ARTICLE IV — OPERATIONS

Members are encouraged to participate in bounty hunting, private military contracts, escort missions, combat operations, exploration, and commercial ventures.

Operations should be coordinated when appropriate, but participation is voluntary unless a member has explicitly committed to a particular activity. Leaders may coordinate missions and provide direction without imposing unnecessary military-style discipline.

ARTICLE V — TRADE & MUTUAL SUPPORT

Black Meridian aims to build a strong internal economy.

Members are encouraged to share profitable trade routes, buy and sell goods with one another, exchange useful information, and help fellow members obtain suitable ships, equipment, and supplies.

Fair dealing and clear agreements are expected. Members should honour agreed prices, payments, and arrangements. Trading within the organisation should create opportunities for everyone, not unnecessary conflict.

ARTICLE VI — LEADERSHIP & CONDUCT

Leadership exists to organise operations, support members, and help the organisation grow. Rank and responsibility should be earned through trust, reliability, and contribution.

Disagreements should be handled respectfully. Serious or repeated misconduct may result in a warning, temporary restriction, or removal from the organisation, depending on the circumstances.

No member is above the standards expected of the rest of the crew.

ARTICLE VII — OUR COMMITMENT

Black Meridian commits to building an inclusive, enjoyable, and rewarding community. We aim to provide opportunities to earn, fight, trade, learn, and make lasting connections across the verse.

We don’t promise that every contract will go to plan or every operation will end in victory. We promise to keep building, adapting, and making the most of whatever the verse throws our way.
