We swear not to the halo unbroken, but to the truth it once stood for. The Brotherhood of the Broken Halo operates in the grey; protecting, procuring, and enduring. Outlaws when necessary. Present always. The halo is broken. The vow remains.

History

The Brotherhood of the Broken Halo was not born of rebellion, but of necessity.

It was founded by individuals who had spent years operating within structured organizations, building systems, safeguarding crews, and upholding ideals meant to protect the verse. Over time, those ideals began to fracture.

The Brotherhood was formed as a syndicate bound by accountability rather than rank, and by presence rather than authority. It operates in the grey spaces of the verse; where law and conscience do not always align, and where survival often demands difficult choices.

The Brotherhood protects, procures, and endures. When required, it accepts the mark of the outlaw, taking only what is necessary and giving back through protection, passage, and quiet acts of aid. It does not seek reputation, purity, nor perfection. Only honesty in action.

The Broken Halo is carried as a reminder. It exists to stand where others turn away, even when the light in the black fractures.

Manifesto

“I swear not to the halo unbroken,
but to the truth it once stood for.

I swear to tend what others abandon,
to stand where silence would be easier,
and to act when waiting would cost lives.

I will not hide behind orders
when conscience demands movement.
I will not claim righteousness,
only responsibility.

I accept the mark of the outlaw
when the path of doing right demands it.

I will take what must be taken to endure, and no more than necessity allows.
What I take from the verse, I will return: in protection, in passage, in mercy unseen.
I will leave places safer than I found them,
even if my name is never known.

I will not become what I hunt,
nor confuse survival with greed.
Even in shadow, I will remember
who I chose to be.

When ideals fracture, I will not look away.
I will carry the broken pieces
and make something honest from them.

I stand with the Brotherhood,
not because we are pure,
but because we are present.

The halo is broken.
The vow remains.”
