In the vast sprawl of the UEE and the shadows beyond its reach, Black Plague Industries makes its mark where most corporations fear to operate. We are a grey-zone outfit—part security firm, part freelance syndicate built for citizens who need capability without bureaucracy and results without excu

History

Black Plague Industries began as nothing more than a loose collective of independent pilots trying to survive the chaotic years following the Messer era. With the UEE withdrawing from fringe systems and lawlessness spreading through the neglected reaches of Stanton and Nyx, a group of veterans, haulers, and ex-security contractors found themselves relying on each other more than the institutions that had long failed them.

What started as mutual protection agreements soon evolved into coordinated escort runs and recovery missions. The crew’s reputation grew after the Helion Drift Incident, where they extracted a stranded convoy from a violent pirate ambush with zero civilian casualties. The convoy’s grateful clients jokingly called the team “a plague on the scum of the fringe.” The name stuck—refined into Black Plague Industries as the group formalized operations.

By 2935, BPI had transformed into a full-fledged grey-market security and freelance outfit. Too resourceful to be dismissed, too unconventional to be fully embraced, they operated in the spaces between UEE jurisdiction and frontier necessity. They forged alliances with miners, traders, homesteaders, and small corps—those who needed protection but couldn’t always rely on official channels.

As the situation in Pyro deteriorated, BPI expanded into the system, offering escort lanes, safehouse logistics, and conflict-mediation services for clients navigating its volatile landscape. While some tagged them as mercenaries, others viewed them as the only dependable line of defense in places where law enforcement rarely appeared.

Today, Black Plague Industries stands as a hybrid organization: part defense contractor, part freelance coalition, part frontier problem-solver. Their crews uphold a simple creed—
If the job’s fair and the cause is clear, they take it.

Not saints. Just professionals making order where chaos thrives.

Manifesto

We are not saints.

We are the ones who step in when everyone else steps out.

In the UEE’s shadow and the frontier’s firelight, we built Black Plague Industries for one purpose: to take responsibility for what others abandon. Out here, safety is a privilege, trust is a gamble, and survival favors the prepared. We choose to be prepared—for ourselves, our allies, and the clients who count on us when no one else will.

We Walk the Grey Line

The galaxy isn’t black and white. It never has been.
Where bureaucracy slows to a crawl and pirates prowl the void, we operate—cleanly, decisively, and without excuses. We don’t seek trouble, but we won’t run from it. We don’t promise purity, but we guarantee accountability.

We Honor the Contract

A deal made is a deal kept.
Our word is our currency, our reputation our shield. If a citizen entrusts us with a shipment, a route, a rescue, or a risk, we see it through. We don’t take every job—but the jobs we take, we finish.

We Stand With the Forgotten

Outposts overlooked by the UEE.
Miners scraping a living on dangerous rocks.
Small crews trying to move goods through lawless space.

These people deserve more than luck.
They deserve someone who can push back when the void pushes first.

We Don’t Fear the Dark

The frontier is dangerous. Pyro is unstable. Stanton is corrupt. The future is uncertain.
But to fear the dark is to surrender to it.

Black Plague Industries exists to be the steady hand in the blackout, the calm voice in the comms, the ship that shows up when the odds say it shouldn’t.

We Are Many. We Are Ready.

We are haulers, fighters, scouts, engineers, explorers, freelancers, and problem-solvers.
We come from different systems, different pasts, and different codes—but we share one truth:

Out here, we only survive if we stand together.

Our Creed

Walk the grey with honor.

Protect what others discard.

Finish the job.

Strength in unity.

Results over rhetoric.

Never abandon your crew.

This is our path.
This is our purpose.
This is Black Plague Industries.
