The cold, infinite expanse of outer space is less forgiving than any peril faced on Earth or Mars; waiting to take the life of the unprepared. The pirates and criminals who have evolved with changing times do not help to hide the fact that the amount of danger has grown despite our advances in technology. You may say, “but advancing technology means that safety has increased as well”, of course this doesn’t help when you’re about to be blasted into oblivion by a Vanduul scavenger who happened to see your helpless ship try to speed away. Black Rook Security and Transport Services (BR-STS) offers a solution to the problem that is looming death with a selection of purchase options to any customer.

Founded in 2942, BR-STS is a new and upcoming Private Military Company brought to life by three former ‘1st Joint Task Force’ members. Each founding member of BR-STS was well-versed in standard infantry combat, guerilla warfare & tactics, CQB combat, clandestine operations, and atmospheric flight prior to taking on spaceflight operations. From the onset, the goal was to create a better and safer future for the traveling of people and goods. After 2 1/2 years of active duty, the 1JTF members resigned early to create BR-STS in the previously mentioned year of 2942. Since then, BR-STS has continued to grow and expand operations while remaining true to the original goal of the organization. About Us

Black Rook Security and Transport services provides affordable options to the common man/woman, and large packages to the largest of clients. Whether it’s the ferrying of people or goods from place to place, or just handling the security of an already established transport operation, BR-STS’ capability fully encompasses these tasks. Security options are not limited to the ferrying of goods, however. Due to the ground combat experience of the founding BR-STS members from past operations, BR-STS members are trained in a variety of infantry operations. These range from the defense or raiding of an installation, to the high-risk nature of counter-insurgency raids and hostage rescues.

Despite the young age of the organization, BR-STS has proven itself in the defense of several UEE outposts, colonies, and terraforming stations against Vanduul attack. These operations have been conducted with a 98% success rate, with a casualty rate of 0.0001%, (the reported failure was mainly due to the lack of equipment and funding in earlier years). BR-STS has proven itself to its steadily growing client list while also giving several career opportunities for aspiring combat pilots, transporters, diplomats, and businessmen/women.

It goes without saying that the organization has improved quality of life for those covered by its contracts. This doesn’t necessarily mean that members do not act out of good conscience. Justified and lawful requests for help towards bystanding BR-STS members will be answered regardless of the prospects of being rewarded for actions taken. Acts of goodwill and charity are not uncommon within the ranks of the Black Rook organization and this reputation has carried these “Paladins” far. Law enforcement and civilian traders alike feel a lot safer whenever a BR-STS certified combat security specialist is flying by.

In the three years since its founding, BR-STS has eliminated the threat of at least four Pro-Vanduul insurgencies that have threatened the populations of the locations these sympathizers based their operations in. Despite having to occupy and search local residencies surrounding Pro-Vanduul operations, BR-STS has managed to win the ‘Hearts & Minds’ of the civilian population and always gives compensation for any damage done due to their presence.

Because BR-STS cannot always be there to defend and/or evacuate every innocent man or woman, it provides affordable training sessions to the local populace in order to properly be educated to defend themselves. It also offers packages to law enforcement forces for more advanced ground combat training and effective spaceflight take-downs.
