- BSA has been playing MWO since 2012. We participated in the Marik Civil war season 1 as the leading team via MRCB ratings and currently in Season 3 as well. We also conducted our own tournaments in which Star Citizen pledges were given out for various stat winners and MVPs. We play other games such as BattleField 4, War Thunder, RUST, Day Z, and soon Star Citizen. We are a relaxed and casual community but also take part in competitive matches. We typically recruit slowly to get to know people instead of inviting a flood of people in at once and having a sudden culture change.

The B lack S tar A lliance
- BSA is a multi-game organization with many members playing many games. You have seen us in MechWarrior Online, RUST, War Thunder, BattleField4, and many others. We will have a strong presence in Star Citizen and are looking for more players to not just join us here but in any of the other games our members have interest in. Rarely does one person only play one game. We play them together and we play them well. With our own TS server, Website, and community already established we are here to stay and can already work together and get to know each other. We will not be the biggest but we are typically among the best.
- Our core group consists of adults 21+ who spend approximately 20+ hours a week online. We are looking for similar commitments from new players and expect people to be able to take what they can dish out. Any game you wish to advance in will require some level of commitment to it and it will require going against teams, players, and groups who are just simply better. We do not in any of these games limit ourselves to solely “noob stomping” We try to play vs other good groups so we can build relationships and sharpen our skills. Stand up for yourself. Don’t cry when you die. Put some effort into your own advancement and you will fit in here. We are not carebears nor are we elitist pricks. If you like Visual Aids: *Elitists*>Carebear.
- During events and practice nights we tend to get pretty professional about things but spend most of our time joking around and trolling each other a bit when offline. It is a fun community but you need to have some thick skin. We expect people not to troll our opponents during our main practices, during community events, or in the community forums off our own site.
- We understand that in Star Citizen there are many different roles to play and we know already within our own organization we have many who prefer very different play styles. Some will be very aggressive and militaristic, others will want to explore, trade or mine, etc.. Until we can truly see the game and understand it’s dynamics we are solely focusing on what we can do now to evolve our Star Citizen crew so we can advance quickly in the game. Currently that means playing other games together to get to know each other and get a feel for how we all play. When the Dog-fighting module is out we will explore it with our Star Citizen group, develop our team, and get good at it. When multi crewed ships come out we will explore their dynamics and get good at them. Etc.. Each in it’s own time. Nothing elaborate or over done until we know what this game will truly offer. We will evolve with Star Citizen as more and more features are added and as we grow. This is a smaller close knit community of people who play together. Come join us!

Respect
- Respect is very important to maintain a peaceful and close knit group. As such it is your duty to ensure you keep your actions and words mindful of those around you. Let your channel mates know how you feel about people’s language and/or their actions. If someone does something that offends you please let them know in a polite fashion. Maturity is a hallmark of our community so we expect such situations to be resolved through simple common courtesy, if you do need help resolving a situation please contact a member of the administration staff.
Concerns
- If you have any concerns about other members conduct, or comments on the forums or elsewhere please contact administration staff. we work hard to maintain a drama-free environment and to resolve all issues in a mature manner.
Language
- Language will be decided at your own discretion. Since most of us are adults it is up to you to decide what level of language is appropriate the group that you are playing with. Please use your awareness to use language that will not disrespect anyone.
Representation
- When you are on our Teamspeak server, MWO forums and our own forums you represent the entire Black Star Alliance community. We expect all BSA members to behave in a manner that reflects well to both your fellow BSA members and others we interact with. This is especially important when you are on someone else’s Teampspeak server or are in an organized event representing any gaming community the Black Star Alliance takes part in.
Violations of guidelines
- Infractions of our Code of Conduct will be handled on a case by case basis, all decisions regarding infractions made by Administrative Staff are final.
Probationary Period for New Members
- Upon Initial acceptance to the BSA, players will be placed on a probationary period for 30 days. This is to allow new players to determine if the BSA is the right group for them, and the Alliance the opportunity to determine if those players are right for the BSA. During this period players may be assigned to a company, but will not advance in rank beyond Private. Any violation of the rules of conduct are grounds for removal from the BSA. Once the 30 day period has passed final determination on new applications will be made, and the player will be informed of acceptance into the BSA or rejection. Once accepted, new players may advance in rank.
