Founded in the aftermath of a corporate betrayal on Pyro III, the trio known only by their callsigns—Kolhammer, Ferocious Squirrel, and Llama—emerged from the ashes with a vision: no more silent losses. No more innocent freighters left adrift. No more families buried in sealed files and deniable ops. Blackthorn exists to ensure that those who do harm cannot hide behind distance, wealth, or silence.
Clients don’t pay for protection—they pay for consequence. A contract with Blackthorn means that if your ship is ambushed, your crew assassinated, or your settlement scorched, someone will answer for it. Whether it’s a pirate clan, a rival syndicate, or a black-budget taskforce, Blackthorn tracks, infiltrates, and dismantles them with surgical wrath. Payment secures not just investigation, but retribution—scaled to the damage inflicted.
They wear no uniforms, pledge to no flag, and do not broadcast their presence. But when their black-and-gold sigil appears—thorn-wrapped and star-bound—it means the debt has come due.

The Blackthorn Charter: Discipline and Conduct
The Blackthorn Strike Group operates outside the lines of conventional law, but within the stringent boundaries of our own ethical code. Our strength lies in our discretion, our professionalism, and our absolute focus on the objective. This Charter establishes the mandatory public conduct for all personnel. Deviations will not be tolerated.
I. Conduct and Identity
Silence of the Brand: Personnel shall not publicly broadcast their affiliation with the Blackthorn Strike Group unless actively engaging in a contracted operation. Our reputation is built on consequence, not propaganda.
Professionalism in Conflict: Engagements will be surgical and focused. Unnecessary cruelty, indiscriminate targeting of non-combatants, or destruction beyond the requirements of the contract are grounds for immediate expulsion. We deal in retribution, not savagery.
No Unsanctioned Raids: Attacks, piracy, or acts of aggression against any entity (civilian, corporate, or otherwise) that is not the subject of a current Blackthorn contract are strictly forbidden. We are hired judgment, not random terror.
Discretion is Paramount: All mission details, client identities, payment structures, and internal command decisions are classified. Sharing this information with outside entities is a cardinal offense.
II. Operations and Objectives
Contract Integrity: Once a contract is accepted and the target is identified, the objective is absolute. Members must pursue the target with unwavering commitment until the terms of retribution are fulfilled.
Proportionality of Force: Force must be scaled to the objective. While our methods are decisive, we avoid unnecessary escalation that would compromise the overall security of the organization or the successful completion of the current task.
Client Confidentiality: The identity and specific grievances of the client are protected at all costs. The target knows they have incurred a debt; they need never know who levied the charge.
III. Loyalty and Accountability
Internal Trust: Loyalty within the Strike Group is non-negotiable. Any act of treachery, informing, or sabotage against a fellow member or the organization itself will result in immediate, terminal consequences.
Chain of Command: Orders from command personnel (Kolhammer, Ferocious Squirrel, Llama, or appointed subordinates) are final. Challenges or disagreements are to be handled in private debriefings, never in the field.
Accountability: Every member is accountable for their actions. If a member’s conduct compromises a mission, breaches this Charter, or endangers the Group, they will be held responsible. This is the ultimate form of Retribution, with Interest.
