Welcome to the Bustiest Brothel in The Galaxy! Accompanied with award winning bar, come here and let yourself go

History

Along a slightly more pg-13 vein, we would like to welcome any willing citizens to this organisation as we strive to become a friendly, social and active part of the community.

We started out as a small group of friends who were all equally captivated by the endless possibilities that Star Citizen holds, so naturally we wanted to converge and have our own little piece of the game for us and anyone willing to join us on our journey through the game.

Our current direction for the game has not been decided yet, however we would welcome with open arms any feedback and ideas for how they think this organization should operate, our ideologies, what makes us the Busty Brothel Bar and how we can be successful as a group in this universe.

With the current pre-alpha state of the game, it is hard to say how we will be involved with the game – who knows what would be the best careers to veer towards in order to make ends meet? However, in a way, that’s what makes this organisation so special. You have the chance to voice your opinion now, much in the same way our voice can influence the direction of SC.

if you want a say in an organisation, but don’t want to create your own, we will welcome anyone with open arms. If you’re looking for an opportunity to make your mark on the universe, come with us and we can do it together. And if you just want the security and friendliness of a really easy-going, fun group sign up here.

Oh, and don’t ask about the name, it’s a long story :)

Manifesto

So, no-one really knows any juicy details that will allow this manifesto to be as specific as we really want it to be. However, our initial thoughts are as follows:

Phase one:

The persistent universe is out. At this point in time, people will be wanting to do all sorts of stuff, try out new shit. And that’s fine. However, our aim is to quickly and efficiently establish some trade routes, some cargo hauling to kick start our operations. An example of this, WibblyGringo possesses an Avenger, so he would probably run escort while myself and a few other use our starter ships to transport goods from say, Sol to Terra.

The point of this seemingly mundane starting decision is that it will establish a reliable (well about as reliable as you can get in a universe occupied with pirates and vagabonds) means of income so that when we do look at a particular venture as a collective organisation, we can say ohh, we like the look of that. And then, in theory we’ll then have enough funds to actually pursue it.

Phase two:

We’ve begun to get a feel for the ebbs and flows of the universe, now we want the cold hard $$$. Personally, I would like to invest a portion of the organisation profits in establishing a solid trade chain of freelancer max transport ships, and get our infrastructure into such a state that we can really start to see the UEC pour in. I would also propose that we start our exploration program in earnest, appeasing the more exploratory minded people and importantly paving the way for phase three.

Phase three:

The Orion mining ship looks awesome. And who knows what other awesome ships will be out there by the time the PU is up in earnest. We think to own an Orion (or a few) would be a good ‘mid-game’ target. The reason we chose the Orion especially is with our awesome trading network set up in phase one and two, large scale mining and transportation, even refining would be a breeze. And if we can lay our hands on one of those economic nodes that we occasionally hear mentioned, even better.

Furthermore, our large scale exploration forays may have yielded us a (maybe literal) gold mine, which hopefully we’d be able to take full advantage of with our own mining station/s. On the other hand, this could be where we diverge completely, and use our ill gotten gains in phase one and two for more nefarious means…

Phase four:

We’ve got mining (maybe), either way we’re doing pretty well for ourselves. Where do we go from here? This is where we have even less of an idea about than in other stages -industrial espionage, space orbital take over, a sudden shift into the world of piracy? There will be so many options.

To summarize, we reason that a solid economic foundation will allow us to pursue any ventures, legal or otherwise, and that’s what our early game priority should be. The rest, well, who knows?

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER – All the while, through phase 1 to phase infinity we aren’t telling you that you won’t be able to be a buccaneering pirate or become the first person to win the Murray cup in an Aurora LX. Being restrictive makes you wonder if you’re playing a game at all. However, we think it would be best, for coherency and community to have a collective vision, a goal in which we can strive for and say, wow, our org is actually looking pretty sweet, nice going us, which is ultimately the point of this (very) preliminary manifesto.

This is just some thoughts on the direction of the organisation that I’d like to put out there, Much like the game itself, this will be subject to change, and we’d genuinely love to hear what you think. Feel free to message me, or any other founder, or post on the organisation discussion board for more talk about where we are, and where we’re going :)

Charter

Here at BustyBrothelBar we’re a very laid-back, relaxed, casual organisation, so don’t worry about us trying to restrict your in-game activities. However, there are so basic common sense rules that we will enforce to make sure everyone has the best time possible:

1.No being bullying, belittling or being a huge dick to everyone – be respectful to all members.

2. Respect other user’s IRL privacy and don’t bring your real life issues into this game

3. Completely inactive members will be kicked (as long as you play every now and then, or give a reason for long periods of inactively like’ hey I’m off to the Bahamas for 6 months see-ya’ then this shouldn’t be a problem)

4. As cliched as this may sound, have fun! If you’re not having fun, well you’re probably playing the wrong game (or we’re an even shittier org than any of us imagined!).

5. Ultimately, what the org leaders say will go. This isn’t to say that we will assume an authoritarian dictatorship, merely that when deciding organisation direction and goals, we’ll have the final say. Having said that, on the whole we’ll take into account what the general consensus of the org is for any given issue, and try to steer the org in that direction.

6. Use your common sense if I’ve missed out any rules : You left on friendly terms and you want back in? Of course you can rejoin. You called my friend a homosexual slur then rage-quit. Well you won’t be joining our org again (or any affiliates for that matter)

To summarize, if you’re not a massive douche, we won’t have to be either . Fundamentally, the aim of the game is to have fun, and (hopefully) these rules on the whole reflect that.

Welcome aboard, and if If you have any questions, ask me, I’m awesome :) (or any other senior member, although they ain’t as cool )
