Black Wing Logistics: independent haulers out of New Babbage, MicroTech.

Founded in 2955 by friends who pooled their last credits for a beat-up ship, BWL has one promise: the cargo arrives. On time, intact, and pirate-free.

History

Humble Beginnings

Black Wing Logistics wasn’t born in a corporate boardroom, nor was it founded with the backing of wealthy investors or powerful political figures.

It began with a handful of independent pilots who shared a common frustration. Across the Stanton system, skilled freight haulers, miners, and salvage operators were often left to fend for themselves. Contracts were unreliable, security was expensive, and finding a dependable crew could sometimes prove harder than the job itself.

What started as a small group of pilots working together to complete contracts and protect one another eventually grew into something more.

They called it Black Wing Logistics.

Building a Reputation

In the early days, Black Wing Logistics operated with little more than a few ships, a collection of contacts, and a willingness to take the jobs others overlooked.

Cargo needed moving? We moved it.

A mining crew needed protection? We sent an escort.

Someone needed a wreck stripped before the competition arrived? We found a way to get it done.

Word began to spread, and with each successful contract came new opportunities. Independent operators joined the company, bringing their own ships, experience, and connections.

Before long, Black Wing Logistics had grown beyond its original purpose as a small freight operation.

Expanding Our Operations

As the company grew, so did the demands of operating in an increasingly unpredictable ‘verse.

Mining and salvage crews became an important part of our business, providing valuable resources to the growing industrial economy. Dedicated security personnel joined our ranks to protect company assets, escort vulnerable shipments, and support clients operating in dangerous territory.

Eventually, our services expanded beyond traditional industrial work to include logistical planning, private security, and operational support for independently organized events.

Through it all, the company’s philosophy remained unchanged: good people, reliable equipment, and a commitment to finishing the job.

A New Chapter

Like many independent companies operating on the frontier, Black Wing Logistics has experienced its share of setbacks, changing circumstances, and difficult decisions.

But a company isn’t defined by the ships in its hangars or the credits in its accounts. It’s defined by the people who keep showing up.

Today, Black Wing Logistics enters a new chapter, rebuilding with a renewed focus on the principles that brought us together in the first place.

We’re here for the pilots who find satisfaction in a successful delivery, the miners who spend hours chasing the perfect deposit, the salvage crews who see opportunity where others see wreckage, and the security teams who make sure everyone gets home.

We aren’t interested in becoming the largest organization in the ‘verse simply for the sake of numbers.

We want to become one of the most dependable.

Our history is still being written, and there’s plenty of room for those willing to help write the next chapter.
