Cathcart Intergalactic Services / CATHIS

Cathcart Intergalactic Services was founded in 2854 by Hank Jackson. He arrived in the Cathcart system on a delivery mission and fell in love with Spider station and decided to call it his home. It wasn’t long until he opened up shop on Spider with nothing but himself, an Avenger Titan, and a drive to be the best transporter this side of Sol. His reputation grew as time went on and so did the company. By 2872, CIS had a small fleet of vessels and had expanded into other trades besides cargo transport such as mining and salvage. Tragedy struck in 2884 when Jackson’s Caterpillar, the Calico, was intercepted entering the Kedsu Reef station perimeter. The ship had taken heavy damage and the command module was missing, but the cargo was intact in the bays and was marked for delivery to Kedsu Reef. Jackson had completed one last delivery…

The 30th century saw CIS’s continuing growth. Leadership started to see Spider, and the Cathcart system’s less than savory rep, as a liability. Wanting to expand into more UEE controlled systems and possibly lucrative government contracts, CIS started discussions about moving on from the system. Years of back and forth on this topic would ultimately be decided from an outside source. After the Kellar’s Run incident of 2931, CIS moved its complete operation to Stanton in 2932.

Despite the reputation of its namesake, CIS has earned a good reputation for itself by offering its services in a variety of expeditions and business ventures throughout the Stanton system and beyond.
