Centauri Annex / CENTANNEX

We, the Centauri Annex, declare the right to wander the stars, both near and far, with the intention of knowing no limitations other than that which the universe has in place.
We declare the right to follow principles to preserve peace within a fighting resolve.
We declare the right to defend and preserve our freedom from all forms of authority, including both piracy federations and planetary empires, so that we only govern ourselves within our principles and freedoms of sentience.
We declare the right to fight without mercy should we be provoked within our reasonable identification of threatening, menacing,
or aggressive actions by any and all parties or persons.

Above all we declare the intentions of peace, exploration, commerce, and freedom at all costs.

The following is the Code of Conduct that all members and subordinates of Centauri Annex will abide by at all times:

Conduct:

- all members and subordinates under order of the Centauri Annex will present themselves in a courteous, kind, professional, and truthful manner during any interaction with any non-Centauri Annex person(s).

- Ranks and titles are to be respected formally during combat, diplomatic, and any other official business/operations of the Centauri Annex.

- Likewise, all ranks and titles are null and void and formalities can be abandoned outside of official business/operations of the Centauri Annex. But only so long as this directive does not violate any other directives under this Code of Conduct.

Combat: Rules of Engagement:

- Any unknown vessels are to be considered a possible threat if they are to reach within 10,000m of any Centauri Annex Vessel (CAV).

-Any and all threats and possible threats are to be engaged and pursued until said threat is no longer classified as a threat.

- A threat is no longer to be classified as such if it is in full retreat, destroyed, or disabled beyond immediate repairs.

- Possible threats are not to be fired upon unless they are identified as a positive threat to any CAVs or Centauri Annex personnel.

Freedom:

- Freedom is entirely encouraged and is to be preserved under the original Declared intent and rights of sentience. (See the Manifesto on our page for more information.)

- Freedom of any Centauri Annex personnel will not be obstructed nor allowed to be obstructed except under violation of our Charter/Code of Conduct or any respected/recognized authority or law.

Call to Arms:

- If any member or group that is apart of the Centauri Annex is to come under attack from any formidable enemies and requests support actions from their fellow members, all members that are available are to report to the battlefield immediately.
Failure to appear after a Call to Arms without a significant reason will be held accountable for their actions per the protocol of a 3rd rate offense

Punishment:

- Punishment for violating any or all of these terms which all Centauri Annex personnel agree to upon joining our faction is as follows:

- 3rd rate offense: A 3rd rate offense is one of failure/refusal to follow orders during an operation or procedures of the Centauri Annex, or failure to obey the Code of Conduct. Punishment for the First time commitment of this offense is verbal/written repremands. Second offenses result in demotion. And third time offenses are grounds for banishment/exile from the Centauri Annex.

- 2nd rate offense: A 2nd rate offense is one of failure to follow the rules of engagement or to prematurely attack an unofficial threat without the order of an Alpha Centauri.
The punishment for a 2nd rate offense is demotion for the first and second offenses, a third offense is punishable by banishment or exile.

- 1st rate offense: A 1st rate offense is murder of an innocent victim or piracy of a peaceful vessel or a vessel with peaceful intentions towards a CAV. This is not to be confused to collateral damage or an innocent casualty of conflict.
This offense is punishable by death, exile, banishment, or imprisonment by the Centauri Annex.

- Traitorous offense: A Traitorous offense is the act of betrayal, in any form, performed by any member of the Centauri Annex. This offense is punished by the entire Centauri Annex, to bring ruin to any offender of this crime. The offender will be hunted and brought to justice via death initially and then any subsequent, even random, encounters with this person or party will result in the swift execution of the offender(s). This punishment is final and irreversible without the absolute and unified agreement from all Alpha Centauri of the Centauri Annex
