History

His true name is lost to the vast expanse that is time, but we call him Stump. We know not when he lived, or where he lived, but we know how he lived; we know what matters. To put it plainly, Stump cared about Stump. When surrounded by those saying “I will fight for my leader” or “I will fight for my country”, Stump said “I will fight for Stump”. His philosophy was to do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, as long as it would benefit himself.

It did not take long for those around him to take notice. While they were slaving to benefit someone else, Stump was taking what he wanted, doing what he wanted, and somehow prospering. He had no master, and demanded no fealty. Many dismissed this as anarchy. They could not see the subtle nuances of his actions; he did not act out of a distaste for organization and structure, but out of a love for freedom. This is the true heart of our organization.

Since the time of Stump we have rallied those on the fringes of society. The downtrodden, the oppressed, the morally ambiguous, all who are bent and broken by the ones who sit above them in some meaningless hierarchy, all are welcome to join us and be free. We do not discriminate, we do not hate, we do not love. We are a brotherhood of rejects. A beautiful disaster. We are as Stump was, and those who followed in his footsteps. We are Chaotic Neutral.

Purpose and Expectations

Chaotic Neutral and all of its members (excluding ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓), hereby known as “the congregation”, shall be defined by the following sections, and adhere to all rules and regulations set forth in this document. Those found to be in violation of this document will be judged in accordance with section D.

All members of the congregation are expected to use the core values defined in section B as the groundwork upon which they lead their lives.

All sanctioned operations undertaken by members of the congregation shall be accompanied by at least one Elder. Significant events should be accompanied by an Evangelist. This does not prevent members from participating in operations as they see fit, but only events witnessed by a member of the clergy as stated above shall be considered to be official church matters.

A

Heirarchy

The Clergy consists of those who hold the following titles:

Inquisitor – There shall only be one Inquisitor. The Inquisitor is appointed by the Father, who holds the only higher authority for internal peacekeeping. The Inquisitor shall dispense judgement and justice within the congregation as defined in section D, and record all judgments and crimes in a permanent record. In addition to determining validity and outcome of internal disputes, the Inquisitor will be responsible for reviewing applicants and accepting or rejecting potential members of the congregation.

Evangelist – The Evangelist is expected to maintain the public image of the congregation, and deal with external inquiries into the congregation’s operations. The Evangelist manages all external disputes including treaties, wars, and disputes between members of the congregation and non members that cannot be handled privately. Additionally, the Evangelist will be a record keeper for important events within the congregation, and will be the sole party responsible for upkeep of the churches documents, excepting documents involving judicial matters.

Elder – Elders act as leadership within the congregation. They are responsible for maintaining the congregation and it’s rankings, along with being an example to all of the behavior that leads one to greatness and freedom. In cases of internal or external dispute, the Elders will be tasked with delegating and overseeing any actions deemed necessary by the Inquisitor or Evangelist.

All members not belonging to the above hierarchy shall be appointed a rank and position based entirely on the recommendation of an Elder.

Values

The congregation will operate on the principle that freedom is the most important aspect of human existence. It is only through demonstrating the ways that we embrace our freedom that the congregation can enlighten others and spread its message. Members of the congregation are free to partake in any activity they please so long as it does not violate section D.

The congregation and its laws do not exist to oppress its members, but to provide its members with an environment in which they can seek out personal freedom arm in arm with other like-minded individuals. It is only through unity with his brothers that one can truly throw off their shackles and claim their freedom among the stars.

D

Crime and Punishment

The congregation shall not recognize any action by its members as a crime unless the congregation or one of its members is directly harmed physically or financially by said action. Personal freedom is a core tenet of the congregation, but actions taken against its members will not be tolerated. All internal disputes shall be brought forward to the Inquisitor. His judgement is final, unless ▓▓▓ ▓▓▓▓▓▓ ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ ▓▓▓ ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓. [REDACTED]

The Inquisitor shall make a determination based on his findings. The guilty party, if any, shall be punished in one or more of the following ways:
Death
Excommunication
Public humiliation

Repeat offenders may be subjected to any punishment multiple times consecutively as deemed necessary by the Inquisitor. If needed, the Inquisitor will enlist the authority of an Elder or Evangelist for assistance in carrying out judgement.

In the event of excommunication, the congregation will strike all records involving the guilty individual with the exception of a single record of their crime and punishment. All excommunicated individuals are free to return to the congregation at the discretion of no less than one Elder and the Inquisitor.
