When the polution of the Earth´ s atmosphere aggravated and the dust from the last catastrophy covered most of the ground, my grandfather took the chance and escaped. With help from a former pilot he took the long road to Elysium with his family, when pirates attacked him and oxygen depleted shortly before arrival. Grandpa crash-landed on Jalan and was saved badly injured by a citizen. My father was saved too. They recovered in an old Tavarian temple, but my grandma didn’t make it because of oxygen depletion. As years went by grandpa experimented with different plants on Jalan to reduce oxygen from carbondioxide. He produced early models of the CBA, the Catalytic Breathing Automat; only driven by a single deep breath it expands your life by a few hours. From there on business grew fast. Two generations formed a solid and reliable product, that saved many lifes out in space. The CBA is todays life-saver No.1 in the verse. But expansion was dangerous. Our organisation was too often attacked by pirates, when expanding further into space to deliver our products or explore foreign worlds to find new markets. Grandpa died at the age of 80 years and my Father was killed in a raid in UEE-controlled space. He was gone in a blast and with him his 84p-Explorer and a former Genesis-typ, that was picked up after maintenance. Besides the organisation he left me an inheritance of some spacecrafts.
When I entered one of his old ships after he was killed, I realized how important a powerful escort is to all spacemen out there . That was the gamechanger for todays ICN: Now a Polaris corvette and a Hammerhead covers most of our fleets movements.
