The Bifröst crew, led by Dr. Zolomon, is a disciplined, independent exploration team boarding an Anvil Carrack. Experts in navigation, engineering, security, medicine, and operations, they chart the unknown, observe safely, and defend only when necessary.
Dr. Zolomon, once a prominent scientist in the UEE’s research corps, grew disillusioned with the bureaucracy and rigid protocols that often delayed meaningful exploration. Fascinated by the uncharted corners of the Verse and driven by a personal thirst for knowledge, he resigned from official duty to pursue independent exploration. His vision was simple yet ambitious: to discover new worlds, document anomalies, and record the mysteries of space without political interference, while maintaining ethical standards and prioritizing life above profit.
To realize this vision, Dr. Zolomon acquired The Bifröst, an Anvil Carrack optimized for long-range expeditions. Recognizing that such missions required more than a small team of scientists, he carefully assembled a crew of specialists. Each member was selected not only for skill but for temperament: individuals who could handle high-stakes situations calmly, respect the chain of command, and operate with discipline and restraint.
The Security team, trained for defensive action only, ensures both ship and crew remain safe, whether aboard The Bifröst or during planetary excursions. Engineering specialists keep the vessel operational in the harshest conditions, capable of repairing critical systems under pressure. Navigators and pilots guide the Carrack through uncharted systems and unstable jump points, while medical officers safeguard crew health and manage biohazard threats. Operations personnel handle vehicles, auxiliary ships, cargo, and expedition logistics, ensuring every mission runs smoothly. Each role is backed by secondary skills to guarantee redundancy and survival in the most extreme situations.
Together, the crew operates under the “Zolomon Principle”: observe first, understand second, engage only when necessary, and document everything. They are not soldiers or mercenaries; they are explorers, seeking knowledge and the thrill of discovery, yet prepared to defend themselves if confronted. Over time, their reputation has grown in UEE circles as reliable independent explorers—sometimes contracted to survey new systems or investigate anomalies, but always operating under their own command.
The crew’s bond is forged in shared discovery and mutual respect. Long stints in deep space have cultivated a sense of family, where every member knows that survival depends on discipline, cooperation, and trust. On The Bifröst, exploration is both duty and passion: a bridge to the unknown, guided by Dr. Zolomon’s vision of uncovering the Verse’s secrets without causing harm.
The Bifröst and its crew are not just voyagers—they are custodians of knowledge, pioneers on the frontier of human understanding, and the living embodiment of the spirit of exploration.
The Bifröst Manifesto
We, the crew of The Bifröst, guided by the vision of Dr. Zolomon, declare this manifesto as the foundation of our mission, our conduct, and our purpose in the Verse. We exist not for conquest, profit, or politics, but for the pursuit of knowledge, understanding, and the preservation of life.
1. The Primacy of Discovery
All our actions serve the exploration and documentation of the unknown. We observe first, understand second, and record all findings with integrity. Knowledge is our true cargo; no discovery justifies harm to sentient life or the ecosystems we encounter.
2. The Ethics of Engagement
We do not initiate conflict. We avoid aggression, de-escalate whenever possible, and defend only when survival or the safety of our crew demands it. Our weapons are a last resort, our shields a promise of restraint. We embody vigilance, not violence.
3. The Sanctity of Crew and Vessel
Our crew is our family. Every member’s life is invaluable, every role essential. We operate with discipline, respect, and mutual trust. Redundancy is not optional; preparedness ensures that no single failure can jeopardize our mission. The vessel is our home and our safeguard, and it must be protected above all else.
4. The Pursuit of Knowledge with Responsibility
Exploration carries risk. Every observation, sample, or encounter is treated with care. Contamination, exploitation, or reckless interference are unacceptable. Our research is ethical, our methods scientific, and our records accurate. We are stewards, not conquerors.
5. Independence with Honor
Though we may cooperate with the UEE or other entities, we retain command of our actions and decisions. We act with integrity, represent our vessel with professionalism, and uphold our mission without compromise. Contracts do not supersede ethics; alliances are forged through respect, not submission.
6. Legacy of the Bifröst
We are more than explorers; we are the custodians of what is yet unknown. Every log, chart, and discovery carries the imprint of our dedication. The Verse remembers those who cross its frontiers not by the battles they fought, but by the knowledge they preserved and shared.
7. The Spirit of Exploration
Curiosity drives us, discipline guides us, and courage sustains us. We embrace the vastness of space, the challenges of the unknown, and the responsibility of wielding knowledge wisely. Exploration is both our duty and our calling; we seek to illuminate the darkness, to chart the unseen, and to honor the wonders of the Verse.
This manifesto is binding upon all who serve aboard The Bifröst. To violate it is to betray the mission, the crew, and the spirit of true exploration.
