“This is the Way”…
Welcome to House Wolf
The Kamposian Dragoons were a clan-based culture composed of members from multiple species and bound by a common creed, language, and code. Known primarily as highly-effective mercenaries and bounty hunters, Kamposian Dragoons or “Dragoons” have at various points in galactic history played a major role as legendary warriors and conquerors.
Originating on the planet of Kampos (Ellis IV), the Dragoons’ way of life revolved around honor and war. As a result of their warrior culture, the Dragoons launched several wars of expansion by colonizing nearby worlds leading the sector surrounding their home world to be known as Dragoon Space.
However, although Kampos was still under control of traditional Dragoon warriors, much of the planet’s population had become part of a pacifist movement known as the New Dragoons, led by the young Duchess Satine Kryze of House Kryze, with the traditionalist warriors being forced to use violence to hold on to power. Eventually, a civil war broke out between the pacifist New Dragoons movement and the martial traditionalists, who wished to maintain their warrior heritage. Kampos capital was destroyed during the Dragoon Civil War, and many perished during the conflict, including Duke Adonai Kryze, Satine’s father. Satine herself had to remain under protection as the traditionalists sent bounty hunters after her. However, Kampos’s traditionalist minority was eventually defeated during the war. While the Death Watch, a traditionalist group under Dragoon Pre Vizsla, wished to retake their homeworld, the Old Dragoons scattered across the galaxy as mercenaries.
Dragoon Code of Honor is broken down into three facets: strength, honor, and death – all of which tie into the Dragoons being a warrior culture centered on armor, weapons, and war. The Dragoon Code of Honor says: “Strength is life, for the strong have the right to rule; Honor is life, for with no honor one may as well be dead; Death is life, one should die as they have lived.” The first aspect of strength means if Dragoons meet a weaker person or people, they have the right to conquer them and absorb them into the Dragoons’ way of life.
The Dragoon Code of Honor doesn’t concern a person’s death in and of itself, but rather how the person dies. If a Dragoon dies with strength and honor, then their death is an acceptable one that abides by the code.
The Dragoons’ Resol’nare is broken down into six principles: raising children as Dragoons, wearing the Dragoon armor, mastering self-defense, devoting one’s self to the clan’s welfare, speaking the Dragoon language, and answering the Dragoon leader’s call to action. Dragoon houses place their house name before the word Dragoon to identify their house allegiance, i.e. “Wolf Dragoons”

Leadership Core
Clan Warlord
Clan Chief. The highest-ranking member who embodies the ideals of the clan. The Clan Warlord wields ultimate authority over all warriors, fleets, and colonies.
Hand of the Clan
• The Hand of the Clan serves as the Clan Warlord’s chief deputy and trusted confidant. Acting in the Warlord’s stead during their absence, the Hand coordinates between the various branches—fleets, ground forces, research enclaves, and diplomatic missions. They handle sensitive assignments, relay orders, and ensure that the Warlord’s vision is carried out without compromise. Often the Hand also manages intelligence networks and covert operations vital to securing the clan’s interests.
High Councilor
• A senior advisor and statesperson, the High Councilor leads a small council of venerable members who provide strategic counsel on governance, inter-species diplomacy, resource allocation, and adherence to clan laws and customs. High Councilors might moderate internal disputes, draft treaties, and ensure that expansion into new star systems does not violate the clan’s moral codes. They are essential for navigating the complex political landscapes of the galaxy.
Armor
• the Armor is the spiritual and cultural heartbeat of the clan. As keeper of tradition, they forge and maintain the signature armor sets, starship hull modifications, and ceremonial weapons that give the clan its identity. They also oversee the training of artisans and technicians. The Armor often performs key rituals for promotions and rites of passage, ensuring every member understands the clan’s heritage as they journey into unknown frontiers.
Officers
Fleet Commander
• Reporting directly to the Leadership Core, the Fleet Commander directs entire task forces of warships across star systems. They strategize large-scale fleet movements, coordinate joint operations with ground forces, and plan defensive perimeters around clan worlds. Fleet Commanders must be skilled in interstellar navigation, logistics, and rapid tactical decision-making. Their authority extends over all Captains under their command.
Captain
• Captains command individual starships—ranging from agile corvettes to formidable cruisers—and are responsible for their crews, mission execution, and starship maintenance. They interpret the Fleet Commander’s broad directives into actionable orders, conduct patrols or exploratory missions, and safeguard trade routes used by the clan. On their vessels, the captain’s word is law, guiding both officers and enlisted personnel.
Lieutenant
• Lieutenants serve as the backbone of shipboard leadership beneath the captain. They may command departments (engineering, security, helm, science) or lead specialized mission teams. Lieutenants handle day-to-day operations, ensure crew efficiency, and often mentor junior officers. In combat, they coordinate boarding parties, negotiate docking rights at neutral stations, and carry out tactical maneuvers per the captain’s strategy.
Non-Commissioned Officers
Field Marshal
• A Field Marshal is a seasoned NCO who oversees multiple ground-based units across different theaters—be they planetary garrisons, orbital defense stations, or away teams securing new resources. Field Marshals work closely with the Officer Core to implement ground strategies. They train platoon leaders, manage troop deployments, maintain morale, and ensure that every soldier under their command upholds the clan’s codes of honor.
Platoon Sergeant
• A hands-on leader at the field level, the Platoon Sergeant guides squads of warriors on planetary surfaces, space stations, or within starship boarding parties. They focus on direct supervision of enlisted personnel, ensuring everyone is combat-ready, well-supplied, and disciplined. Platoon Sergeants pass on practical knowledge, enforce clan standards, and translate orders from officers or Field Marshals into effective action on the ground.
Enlisted
Rally Master
• A distinguished senior enlisted warrior, the Rally Master is an expert in unit cohesion and battlefield tactics at the squad level. They inspire frontline troops, lead small teams into hazardous conditions, and serve as exemplars of courage and endurance. Rally Masters often coordinate with Platoon Sergeants, setting the tone for enlisted warriors, helping to maintain discipline, and making sure the clan’s fighting spirit remains unbroken.
Wolf Dragoon
• A wolf Dragoon is an official member of House Wolf. Highly capable shock troopers and advance scouts, Wolf Dragoons are elite warriors selected for their fearlessness, agility, and tactical ingenuity. They excel at infiltration, flanking maneuvers, and close-quarters combat. Wolf Dragoons are frequently deployed in boarding actions against enemy vessels or to spearhead assaults on fortified planetary bases. Their tenacity and skill ensure that more junior troops have a path cleared for them.
Foundlings
• Young recruits, refugees, or newcomers adopted into the clan; Foundlings are the future generation. Often assigned to basic duties and training, they learn the clan’s language, history, and martial traditions. Foundlings accompany more experienced warriors and are gradually introduced to starship operations, ground combat drills, and survival techniques on alien worlds. Through mentorship, they rise within the ranks, eventually proving their worth to become full-fledged warriors.
