“Here, with the Strana Mechty wolf, we see what may be the epitome of a true warrior, cunning matched with instinct and stealth, joined with a final, terrifying attack. For this mighty creature, I name you. You are Clan Wolf.

History

We are Clan Wolf, Children of Kerensky. We carry the honor of his name on our shoulders as our fathers did before. The remembrance speaks to us of the evil in man’s will, of the reasons for exodus, and the rights of the traveler. Arcadia is our destiny and our right. Enlightenment is our gift. By the bloodnames of the founders we must return, return and protect that which is unique among the stars. Terra awaits us, as it was written. We are the last of the warriors, the sole hope for the Earth…

Greetings, Freebirth! Clan Wolf is searching for skilled warriors to fill its roster. Currently, the Clan participates in both Mechwarrior Online , Mechwarrior Living Legends and Star Citzen. We are a heavily lore-influenced group, sticking closely to the path set by our founder Nicholas Kerensky. We are a fiercely competitive group of players looking for like-minded recruits in this time of strife, in order to prepare them for the war against the Inner Sphere. We have developed several training routines to help develop the skills and sharpen the teeth of new warriors. As a Clan, we will hone you into fearsome Mechwarriors, and together we shall strike at our enemies and take what is ours.

Simply put, welcome to Clan Wolf’s recruitment thread. We are indeed a competitive and tight-knit unit, created over 10 years ago. Our Clan has participated in all of the Mechwarrior games since MW2, and are a part of the NGNG Clan community. All skill levels are welcome, as we have many players who are willing to help teach and hone your skills in-game. Our roster is filled with many military/working class people that enjoy just chatting and joking around while destroying our enemies. As a new recruit to Clan Wolf, you would become a Sibko of one of our veteran warriors. Over your trial period, you will not only be trained in the ways of a Mechwarrior by our instructors, but you will also be tested in your abilities. Upon reaching the end of your training, a Sibko is put through a Trial of Position to earn the right to call himself a Warrior of Clan Wolf.

We are a friendly bunch of people, so if you are reading this and are interested in one of the most storied and renowned Clans in Battletech, or even just want to learn more about the game/lore, improve your skills, and meet some VERY fun people, please stop by our TeamSpeak. It is open to all 24/7 and we would be glad to answer any questions you might have.

Clan Wolf Mission

Clan Wolf of www.clan-wolf.info is a lore-based Mechwarrior Clan that endeavors to provide a fun, competitive and team-focused Mechwarrior experience to its members and uphold the honorable traditions and conduct expected from Warriors of Clan Wolf.

Charter

Code of Conduct
Clan Wolf is an Old and Noble clan and as a result we have a set of rules that must be followed, since discipline is a key part of the clan way.

Respect other warriors of the Clan

Respect other Clans and Units

Respect and obey all orders given out by a superior officer

If orders can’t be followed a warrior will be lowered to Cadet and must require his/her position in the warrior cast.

After punishment has been served and there are still problems a warrior will be marked as a Dezgra kicked out of the clan and be hunted for life.

Anyone caught cheating ,hacking or any other thing like this will be dealt with quickly by the high command

Rules of Engagement

Also called the Rules of Engagement, or RoE for short, they are the preferred method of combat for trueborn Clan Warriors. Trueborn are the product of the eugenics system of the Clans. They are created artificially in laboratories, and genetically engineered to produce the ultimate Warrior. In contrast, freeborn are people who have been given birth the natural way. According to the way of the Clans, only the trueborn are superior and pure. They, by birthright, are with honor, and righteous. Among the elaborate and mysterious ways of the trueborn Warrior are the Rules of Engagement.

RoE was a method of combat devised after the Exodus from Terra, to minimize huge losses of valuable equipment and human lives in combats and battles. The most important aspect of RoE is single opponent combats. The brief general rules of RoE are as follows, and pertains only to BattleMechs vs. BattleMech battles:

A warrior may never fire on a warrior who has declared himself/herself afk. {away from keyboard}

A warrior at no time shall initiate a physical attack. Only in the event that a warrior is out of guns and ammo may they engage in a physical attack or if an opponent has initiated a physical attack first.

Following these basic guidelines ensure that a Clan Warrior will fight with honor. There are other conditions to RoE, which individual Clans will follow. For example, by Clan Wolf standards, a Warrior must also follow these rules:

Grand Melee: A grand melee shall only be issued by the highest-ranking officer on the field at that time. The officer shall only declare this type of battle when the opposition has shown no respect for the rules of engagement.

These rules are in place to ensure everyone has a good gaming experience and to uphold the battlefield code of honor. Failure to adhere to RoE during combat will cause loss of honor for a Warrior, as well as serious repercussions from his or her commanding officer. The use of IDF, or indirect fire, will also result in a loss of honor.

However, in the event that the enemy fails to follow RoE, one may return the dishonor. For example, if the enemy attacks using physicals, the Warrior may return the physical only to that enemy. In the event where the enemy as a whole act dishonorably, the commanding Clan officer may call a Grand Melee, at which point the battle field becomes a free for all—a Warrior may at this point use any means at his or her disposal to terminate the enemy.

To a true Clan Warrior, Zellbrigen is the path for honorable combat. However, strictly following Zellbrigen does not ensure honor, and there are other implicit aspects as well. From my personal examples and first hand experience with Zellbrigen, there is more to Clan combat than just terminating your enemy. A true Clan Warrior knows when to grant hegira—the chance for an enemy who has proved his or herself to be a worthy opponent to withdraw from the field of battle without further combat or losses. In addition, true Clan Warriors will also try to challenge themselves by battling the strongest and toughest of the enemy. Successes under greater odds are a testament to a Warrior’s skills and honor.

The only other exception to these Rules of Engagement is when engaged with mercenaries. Mercenaries do not combat for a worthy cause. They seek only material and monetary advancement, and so they are, by definition, without honor, and deserve no RoE. Elementals are not ‘Mechs, so they are not required to follow RoE.

Player Conduct in TeamSpeak

As above we are here to have fun and we have many different opinions and standpoint on life the universe and everything. Person on TS should conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all time. The use of Avatars in TeamSpeak is optional but any inappropriate/sexual/suggestive in nature images will be requested to be changed. Please accept this in the spirit it is meant. Failure to do so could result in removal from the TeamSpeak server and from the Clan.

Player Conduct

We all have to realize that this is just a game and we are all here to have fun. However the Clan realizes that times do occur when players get caught in the moment and do not act appropriately. With any game, this game brings emotion, and emotion often times leads to rash acts. The Clan does not condone this type of behavior and repeated occurrences will resulted in people being banned. The Clan expects that all players abide by the codes of conduct presented here. Should they not follow these guidelines, they will dismissed from the Clan. Above all use Common Sense, if you do you will go along way here.

Anyone proved to be cheating ,hacking or behaving inappropriately will be dealt with quickly by the Clan Council and will be marked as a Dezgra kicked out of the clan and be hunted for life.

Reporting Problem Players

Should a situation arise whereby a player would be subject to dismissal from the Clan, there is a procedure, which must be followed by all. The Clan would like to stress that not all offenses are punishable by banning. Only severe instances will result in such actions, along with repeat offenses. Report the problem, along with any pertinent proof and or information that you have to the Loremaster of the Clans. The Council will then review the proof and information provided to them and then decide on what action, if any should be taken.

Acceptable Proof

The Council must be very picky of what types of proof can be accepted as accusations of cheating, or other offenses. The following are the only types of proof accepted.

· Official Chat Log Files (That means start logging your Chat sessions)

· Screen Shots from games

· Official Game Logs (If Any)

· Testimonial from witnesses (Note this is only in certain instances)

These types of proof are the only types that will be accepted in any circumstance. You must have one or more qualifying types of proof in order to present a case to the Council.

Official Clan of Conduct

Cheating- At no time shall any player in any game cheat. Any player found cheating intentionally would be automatically banned for life.

Spying – Spying is completely dishonourable and shall not be done by any member of the clan.

Cursing & Offensive Remarks – Remarks of a racial or offensive nature will not be tolerated. As far as cursing goes, everyone curses, do not curse in a manner that is directed at any individual or causes any offense.

Gloating – When people win, they like to celebrate their win. If you are the winner just remember that not everyone takes defeat well. A good winner simply says “good game” and exits, and celebrates with his comrades.

Whining & Pouting – Keep in mind that this is only a game, and nothing more. This isn’t real life, and the only thing that’s hurt is your pride. Keep your chin up, and come back next game and do better. There’s no need to complain. Be as mature as possible.

Cheating Accusations – Should you feel that someone is cheating, you must have proof. The Clan will not tolerate any public accusations of cheating. You are to follow procedure as stated above when reporting a cheater, should you have the proof.

Attitudes & Egos – These simply will not be tolerated. We are all here to have fun, and people with attitudes and/or egos do not have a place in THIS CLAN.

Troll/Trolling – Is a person who “sows discord” on the Internet or in game by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog), either accidentally or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

Physical Misconducts/Destruction of Property – Either physical contact or threats with the intent to causing bodily harm to a member or destruction of or danger to life, limb or property. example: “hacking, assault and battery, damaging private property may it be… computer, car, house etc…” This behavior will not be tolerated and is criminal in nature.

Online Attacks & Mail Bombs – Any player found participating in these actions would be removed.

Spying, Cheating and Hacking – The very nature of Combat Operations involves secrecy, and the efforts of the opposing side to uncover those secrets. That said: EXPECT to be spied upon, and trust NO ONE! Knowledge is power; so all manner of LEGAL spying is to be expected, including moles, and possibly even double agents.

As mentioned in the Code of Conduct confirmed incidents Hacking and other forms of illegal activities will result in banning from the Clan. Confirmed incidents of Cheating by any manner presently known, and/or unknown, shall result in instant banning from the Clan.

Cheating claims should have supporting evidence and WILL remain confidential. Please do not make claims if you have no evidence and do not discuss any claims in public, in other words, be discrete.
