History

Established in 2612 and originally hailing from the UEE Army’s 32nd Regiment, the Death Corps have undergone many changes and states of relevance throughout their 300+ year history. Most famously was their participation in smuggling and protecting Senator Terrence Akari across the Perry Line and into Xi’an space in 2789, where he brokered the Akari-Kray Peace Accord.

Unfortunately, the Death Corps story began in a darker time. Though not truly a corps, this unofficial nickname was bestowed upon the regiment for having the highest death rate out of any during the second Tevarin war. Due to spending so much time on the front lines of almost every major battle, brutal leadership and usually being outnumbered and outgunned by the Tavarins, rumours would spread among the new recruits that “Being assigned to the 32nd Regiment was a death sentence”.

After six long years of fighting, in the last year of the war, what was left of the brave men and women in the 32nd Regiment was the best of the best, if a little rugged as people. The 32nd had carved a reputation for itself in combat. With the war won and the regiment’s numbers dwindling, the UEE decided to merge multiple regiments to make up one full one. For most though, it was the end of their time in the UEE Army. Some were selected to become UEE Marines, formerly ASO, while others decided it was time for a change.

The latter, leaving the Army along with other distinguished members from the Navy and auxiliary forces, decided to start their own PMC. Here they hoped to never put their soldiers through the horrors they witnessed in their time serving. Leading them to only hire the best combat veterans and buy the best gear for their teams and finally, naming this company in honour of their fallen brothers and sisters of the 32nd ‘Death Corps’.

Today, they hold an active paramilitary presence in over 20 systems. These include: Stanton, where they play a large part in defending the system from the Xenothreat group; Pyro, where they are renowned for their top tier protective services against the many threats; Fora, detaining smugglers and fighting pirates as part of a UEE sanctioned contract; and various other systems, fighting off the Vanduul threat.
