One late evening in 2907, after several hours of drinking, our founders were mistakenly at the receiving end of a phone call giving instructions on where to go to pick up “the money”. Being the inebriated and adventurous sort they were, it was decided they would pretend they knew what they were walking into and see if they couldn’t somehow come into this money after all.

Being familiar with both ends of a gun, they saddled up and embarked for the coordinates they had stumbled into, where upon arrival they bluffed their way through the gates as expected guests. Soon they were ushered into a huge subsurface complex as they failed to realize just how brave their undertaking was. To this day is not sure exactly the location was nor how exactly they convinced this group that they were the transporters they were expecting, but it is known that they strolled out of that complex within the hour accompanied by a literal fuckton of cash.

Clearly money doesn’t just appear from no where. And this money in particular definitely came from somewhere. That somewhere however was not fully understood at the moment. They had seen brief signs and heard whispers while in the negotiations over the money that this organization was making a huge payment which apparently the receivers of this cash had provided a large supply of some illegal substances to the group. It was not uncovered until quite a bit later that the group they had swindled was indeed the legendary syndicate The LTT Conglomerate. And in being one of the largest syndicate in the galaxy, such transgressions were not soon forgotten.

Our founders were immediately on the most wanted list in every black market bounty board across the galaxy. Upon this realization they used their new found wealth to acquire quite an armament and managed to defend themselves from various pursuers for years to be. Eventually their reputation for survival got enough wind to carry it into the ears of those who might also want to survive. And thus the friends formed a formal company with which to do business with those who were also under the attacks of various powerful foes.

Throughout the next several decades the company grew and shrunk protecting and eliminating various targets of importance and the relationship between them and The LTT Conglomerate fell into grayer terms than its onset. With the sum that started the conflict generally forgotten, some DDI units have even run missions for The LTT Conglomerate though they are by no means affiliates.
