Formed in 2950 with the intent of assisting new residents of the Stanton system become familiar with operating and finding a career path that brings enjoyment, income, and reputation. Department of Exploration & Progress is headquartered on Microtech, but operates throughout the Stanton and Pyro systems, helping members and non-members alike. We do not discriminate based on existing organizational affiliations, nor do we become involved in organizational or individual disagreements and disputes.

DEP remains a neutral party and has thus been able to act as a third party mediator in a number of political disputes and decisions. The organization’s input and influence has driven expansion and exploration initiatives within and beyond the Stanton system. Ensuring continued progress of mankind towards exploration, identification, and cataloging of alien species along with exotic alien artifacts is a priority of the organization. To that effect, the organization maintains and publishes guides to exploration of key points of interest in the Stanton system.

DEP is actively recruiting members who desire to help the community and assist mankind in its efforts of exploring the far reaches of the galaxy.
