Steeped in a rich—if occasionally rocky—history, Daymar Industrial Collective Kaizen (DICK) was officially founded in 2948 by its original owners, ZeroRoller and TheBrotherGrimm.

The two began separately in 2944, running humble courier services across the Stanton system. Their paths crossed in 2948 at Crusader’s bustling Port Olisar, where they met while exploring a Drake Caterpillar. United by dreams of grander ventures, they forged a partnership that would evolve into something far larger.

In those early years, the company grew steadily, though its name remained in constant flux. Early iterations included Zero and Son’s, Grimm Corp, and a short-lived, hangover-inspired “ZeroDawnGrimm.” Through every rebrand, however, the core values and philosophy stayed constant: reliable, no-nonsense service delivered with speed and grit.

Everything changed in 2956. Grimm and ZeroRoller brought on like-minded partners eager to scale the operation. After negotiations, the group settled on “Daymar Industrial Collective.” Grimm, entrusted with filing the official registration, reportedly had one (or three) too many drinks that night. Inspired by a late-night dive into old-Earth Japanese business literature, he appended “Kaizen”—the philosophy of continuous improvement—to the name. With fresh talent and diverse skill sets on board, DICK expanded its offerings to deliver top-tier service across virtually any client need. The organization built its reputation in the industrial sector—mining, salvaging, and heavy cargo hauling—while developing a deep understanding of the Verse’s rougher edges.

Accusations of smuggling and other illicit activities have surfaced over the years, with a few members even serving brief stints in Klescher Rehabilitation Facility. Yet no charges have ever held, and DICK has maintained its legal standing within the United Empire of Earth.

In recent years, the collective has branched into mercenary-for-hire operations, providing armed support to the UEE and the citizens of Stanton in high-stakes situations.
