If you hit the open expanse, let the engines roar and go until you swear even the stars have abandoned you, it’s there that you’ll find Dead Light. A home for lost souls and those with people to hide from.

History

Dead Light; Last Stop On the Way to Oblivion.

“There are few homes as unhomely as Dead Light, that’s why we love it.”

Dead Light was another station abandoned into the vast, lonely space that inhabits Pyro. It’s reclamation was nothing short of a miracle. Forgotten about by many, a small number of hands turned the piece of junk floating through the void into a barely breathing hulk of metal.

The renaissance of this station was brutal. Tribe mentality had taken over that stations early life, everyone fighting over who was the best choice to lead the station. As all the groups began to wear their numbers down, the station responded in kind. Systems shut down, lights went out, and life support systems barely functioned. The differing groups had all come under the same realization; A station divided will not stand.

The formation of a united council to lead the station was nearly unanimous. The 3 reigning clans formed a council to lead the station and sat back to admire the home that the clans had built. Noting how often they had power struggles (both within themselves and with the station) the name was decided. Dead Light had entered it’s infancy, and the station began to thrive (by its… own standards, at least.).

Today, Dead Light sits comfortably away from devilish eyes and remains neutral to most conflicts. The council may argue within themselves, but the aftermath is typically hardly noticeable. Afterall, the interesting thing about Dead Lite isn’t what’s happening in the higher up rooms and upper echelons of political discussions. The interesting thing about Dead Light is the stories from within the station.

Manifesto

Dead Light is an attempt at doing something different in Star Citizen RP. Rather than being an actual Organization, Dead Light is a place. A Community. There is no official Defense Force, there are no branches. Dead Light is merely a home to those looking for RP that may be uninterested in dedicating themselves to a specific type of roleplay or don’t feel their character fits into existing organizations, or organizations at all!

Smugglers and Drifters just passing through, residents looking to get a place to stay away from the law, engineers, pilots, merc’s, hunters, chefs, doctors, anyone and everyone is welcome to stay at Dead Light.

Charter

  • Don’t be a Jerk. There’s a distinct difference between a character who is abrasive, rude, or hard to get along with and a person being the same. We simply ask that you treat others the way you want to be treated.
  • Sensitive topics are a no-go. Dead Light is trying to be a home for people to come together and tell stories. That’s it. Current world affairs, politics, religion, and the what not have no place in the stories we tell here.
  • RP Standards. Different people have different styles of RP. Whether someone is new to the medium or has been doing it for awhile, be kind about it. The more stories get told, the better. You don’t get that if people feel like their stories aren’t worth telling.
We have various channels for OOC communication, both voice and text, and IC communication both voice and text. Either type is fine, but remember that communication is always key. Various channels can always be created too! Have a ship crew that stations at Dead Light? Ask an Admin to create a channel for your ship! An arms dealer that needs a store front? A Channel can be made! Dead Light is an evolving home to many, and the space will reflect that.
  • Attendance? We have no activity requirements on this, we want this to be a fun, relaxing, and stress free environment. Even if you stop by just to see what we’re about, that’s fine too!
