DMH is a dedicated Star Citizen organization focused on teamwork, strategic gameplay, and long-term success in the ‘verse. We support multiple career paths—combat, industry, exploration, logistics, and support—while maintaining an organized and respectful environment. Open to new and veteran pilots.
Dead Man’s Hand (DMH)
Dead Man’s Hand was founded on a simple truth of the ’verse: no pilot survives alone.
In the early days of Stanton, DMH began as a loose coalition of independent captains—combat pilots burned out from endless dogfights, industrial players tired of flying unprotected, explorers returning with discoveries they couldn’t capitalize on alone. Each had talent. None had a structure that respected every role.
The name Dead Man’s Hand was chosen deliberately. In old Earth legend, the hand symbolized a final gamble—five cards laid on the table, fate decided not by luck alone, but by who stood with you when things went wrong. DMH adopted that meaning as its creed: every operation succeeds or fails together.
The Early Coalition
DMH’s first operations weren’t flashy. Escorting miners through pirate-heavy lanes. Refueling explorers stranded beyond comm arrays. Salvaging wrecks others had written off. Combat pilots flew overwatch not for glory, but to protect cargo and lives. Industry pilots learned that their work mattered because it kept fleets flying. Support crews became the quiet backbone of every success.
What started as cooperation became doctrine.
A Guild for the Whole Game
Unlike organizations built around a single profession, DMH was structured from the start to support every career path:
Combat provides security, rapid response, and battlefield control
Industry fuels the economy—mining, refining, manufacturing
Exploration charts the unknown and opens new opportunities
Logistics & Support keep operations moving, fleets supplied, and pilots alive
No role is secondary. DMH exists to make every player feel essential, regardless of how they choose to fly.
Organization Over Ego
As DMH grew, so did its standards. Structure replaced chaos. Clear command channels, defined operational roles, and mutual respect became non-negotiable. Experience was valued—but so was mentorship. Veteran pilots were expected to teach. New pilots were expected to learn, not be carried.
The guild gained a reputation: disciplined without being rigid, serious without being toxic.
The Modern DMH
Today, Dead Man’s Hand operates as a long-term organization built for the future of Star Citizen. We plan for persistence, reputation systems, and large-scale operations—not just the patch cycle. Members are encouraged to specialize, cross-train, and collaborate. Fleets fly together. Profits are shared. Losses are absorbed as a group.
Above all, DMH remains open to pilots who believe the ’verse is better when played together.
Dead Man’s Hand isn’t about the cards you’re dealt.
It’s about who’s sitting at the table with you when it’s time to play.
