Forged in the ash of the Kessler Uprising, the Driftborne are the UEE’s unintended creation.

When the Empire’s iron fist crushed the rebellion on Charon III, it didn’t just create corpses – it created ghosts. Disillusioned ISO operatives, soldiers who refused to fire on civilians, and the dispossessed victims of corporate greed vanished into the void. They met in the lawless shadows of the Stanton belts and the fringe territories, trading silence for survival.

We reclaimed the UEE’s slur – “Driftborne” – and wore it as armor. We are not a new empire; we are a decentralized network of mobile bases and hidden threads. We are the sanctuary for the persecuted and the blade in the Empire’s side. We strike their supply lines, expose their lies, and vanish before the dust settles. We are the shadows born of Imperial overreach, forever bound to the struggle for true freedom among the stars.
