The Coven of the Dark Star Leviathans are still not entirely sure of the origins of their faith. What few records they have recovered from their distant past suggests they emerged from the remnant crew of a lost deep space exploration fleet. The Cult’s Leaders, known as the Prophet Admirals, bear a testimony that suggests this lost crew encountered something in the dark depths of space. A sentient entity, one which seemed to exist deep within a distant black hole. This being spoke of a coming cataclysm, one that could not be prevented… but could be survived, if fealty was sworn.

Thus the crew dubbed this being “The Dark Star”, and the faith of their namesake would arise and quickly found believers in the wayward pioneers of the lost fleet. The Prophet Admirals would declare their sacred tasking was to prepare for the coming end of everything, and they began a return trip to human space, in hopes of warning those who would truly see, and grant them salvation.
