History

The history of the Distant corporation.

There was once a man commonly known as Finder for his unique skill of finding a loop hole through every pirate ambush to planet blockade.

Through many deliveries the Finder grew older, realizing this, he decided to teach a few lucky men his secrets to continue his legacy, for he did not have any kin.

Soon the Finder died in 2831, leaving five men left in his place, now known as The Distant Five.

In the Finder’s death, The Distant Five decided to the Finder’s skills should be taught to more people, where they would teach the Finder’s ways.

Soon many came to know these men as the Distant.

After hearing the name many called their select group, The Distant Five decided to become a full fledged corporation where all could learn the ways of the Finder.

Manifesto

Hello citizens, This announcement is brought to you by the Distant (DTT) corporation.

Description: Distant, a corporation dedicated to helping merchants across the galaxy, whether you want pirates to know they are engaging in a battle with a member of Distant or looking for a convoy/escort, this is the organization for you.

Communication: When Star Citizen is officially released we will be using mumble as a means of communication.

How we operate: This corporation will be built on a trust foundation, vessels will be shared between the Distant members based on rank.

Punishment for theft: If found that someone has stolen a vessel from Distant, you will be removed from the corporation and we will put a price on your head for any bounty hunter to claim. In addition we will have our own small security force who will be dispatched after the thief.

Security force details: The security force will be a small team of citizens who will be split among protecting convoys and going after thieves.

Rewards for successfully completing a task: Rewards will be a percentage base for all members who participate in a task, for instance, you borrow a ship to carry supplies and might even borrow some materials to trade, the sum of UEC you obtained will be given to the fund while a small percentage of the profits are given to you (if you use a ship of ours and take trading supplies). For the security force, successfully transporting a convoy to its destination will grant you a percentage of the profits. If the security force brings back a ship stolen they will be greatly rewarded, if they come back with only the wreckage that reward will be reduced, but still a small fortune.

Donations: small donations (not forced) of UEC will be given to the Distant corporation fund.

Reason for donations: The money donated to the Distant corporation fund will be used to purchase larger vessels for the merchants and security force to use, this will increase the revenue we all bring in for each other, we will ask the donation members what the next vessel will be.
