History

After the close of the interstellar war with the Tevarin in 2542, famed war hero and ace combat pilot, Admiral Riposte, noticed the burgeoning xenophobia and speciesism across known space. Consequently, he founded the non-discriminatory and non-profit citizen militia, Dauntless Universal Exploration & Security (commonly known as Dauntless or DUES)

Being a security and defense organization has given DUES a reputation for being a force for integrity, good service, and secular justice, but there have always been many critics who saw DUES as a force exclusively for status-quo. What is known of the original founder, before his mysterious death in 2546, is the usurpation by the Empire under the UEE supreme leader, General Messer, was not well-received by Admiral Riposte or the other core leaders of DUES.

It is well known that DUES is responsible for many of the anti-corruption, defense, and security activities that played a major role in the eventual overthrow of Messer by Congress (as well as thousands of corrupt leaders across the UEE), but what seems to be a consensus with the mercenary and more ethical drug-running community is the notion that the core leadership was always directly engaged in anti-Imperialist dark-ops and that Admiral Riposte lived long into the Messer regime spearheading critical data bust operations.

Though lethal force has been necessary in the past, it is in the best interest of DUES to properly force-scale and offer empathy, and even defense, to our sworn enemies rather than destructive punitive measures. This is the key filament to diplomatic enlightenment.

Note to All Drug-Runners (Runners):
We have a conditional policy on Drug-Running which allows for medicinal and non-destructive recreational drugs to safely pass, which may or may not align with official UEE law, however, any Runner(s) harming, or exploiting others unethically, will have the choice of surrendering themselves for processing, having a non-lethal bounty put on them, and/or being marked by our organization as an enemy combatant.

Note to All Applicants and Members:

Espionage will not be tolerated.
In most cases, the first confirmed instance of this infraction will be grounds for immediate and permanent expulsion from DUES.

We are an elite alliance of individuals, spanning the UEE and beyond, engaged in anti-corruption, anti-mafia, and anti-aggression operations.

We also conduct investigation, exploration, and scouting expeditions that may include small or larger security details.

From time to time we will conduct major clandestine operations against systemic crime networks, corrupt leadership networks, and common aggression or piracy.

Casual players are welcome, and you may choose to play a small, major, or no role at all, in the critical operations of this organization; it’s YOUR choice!
