Welcome to Obsidian Reach Industries—where frontier ambition meets industrial power. We specialize in deep-space mining, high-risk logistics, and shadow operations beyond UEE control. Join us and carve your legacy from the void.

History

“From the void, we carve empires.”

Obsidian Reach Industries (ORI) is a frontier-born megacorporation specializing in deep-space resource extraction, high-risk logistics, and asteroid belt industrialization. Operating beyond the reach of UEE bureaucracy, ORI thrives in the shadows of lawless sectors, where profit is forged from peril and ambition knows no bounds.

With a fleet of heavily modified mining vessels and stealth-capable freighters, ORI is known for its ruthless efficiency, proprietary extraction tech, and willingness to operate in contested or uncharted regions. Whether it’s hauling quantum ore from Vanduul-adjacent systems or drilling into the heart of a rogue planetoid, ORI delivers where others dare not tread.

Backstory Founded in 2871 by ex-Navy engineer Kaelen Voss, Obsidian Reach began as a rogue salvage outfit operating in the aftermath of the Orion system’s fall. Voss, disillusioned by the UEE’s retreat and driven by a vision of frontier independence, repurposed military-grade tech to build the first Obsidian-class extractor—a vessel capable of mining in warzones and surviving pirate ambushes.

ORI grew rapidly, absorbing smaller outfits and establishing blacksite refineries in asteroid fields across the Stanton and Pyro systems. Its rise was marked by whispered deals, shadow logistics, and a reputation for getting the job done—no matter the cost. Today, ORI is both feared and respected, a symbol of industrial might and frontier resilience.

Manifesto

“From the void, we carve empires.”
We are not settlers. We are not explorers. We are extractors, architects of dominion, and masters of the unseen frontier. Where others see danger, we see opportunity. Where others retreat, we advance.
Obsidian Reach Industries was forged in the aftermath of collapse, built by those who refused to be forgotten. We do not ask for permission. We do not wait for rescue. We operate in the shadows, beyond the reach of law, driven by precision, resilience, and ambition.
We mine the forgotten. We ship the forbidden. We build in the dark.
Our Creed:
- Dominion through extraction
- Adapt or be broken
- No light without shadow
We are the silent backbone of frontier economies. The name etched into warship hulls, whispered in backroom deals, and feared by those who cling to order. We do not seek comfort. We seek conquest.
