History

EAD has a 13 year history of MMO gaming, rapidly establishing itself as a non-“hardcore” end-game raiding guild in arenas ranging from LotRO, to RIFT.

Since the disaster that was the Star Wars Galaxies Combat Upgrade, members of EAD have been dedicated to experiencing end-game content at a casual level of game play. However, we’ve truly been waiting for an immersive sandbox environment focused on community driven content and a player-driven economy. Star Citizen holds that promise for us.

Manifesto

EAD Resource Solutions will be the premier boutique mining and salvage operation. Our goal is to have a multi-divisional corporate structure with arms centered around meeting emerging, short-notice customer needs, discovery and exploitation of the needs of the overall market based on current conditions, resource discovery, and a staff of marketing and sales professionals.

While we take gaming seriously, we are also responsive to the fact that this is a game and that life will always take priority over the corporation. However, while life will occasionally interfere, employees will be reminded that they are impacting the recreational time of an entire resource package (5-20 people) when they fail to show at their agreed to times. We do not require you put the guild first, but respect is our watchword, and we require that you not only respect the beliefs and lifestyles of your coworkers, but also their time and resources.

Mission Statement
EAD Resource Solutions will be positioned to establish market share in small scale salvage and mining operations using modularized resource collection packages immediately upon launch.

Current Scope
This corporation is being built in an uncertain environment and will likely undergo revision and maturation over the course of the Alpha and Beta as economy, metrics, and ships become available and finalized. The current scope of our efforts will be focused on three short term goals.

Short Term Goals
• Recruit 45 like-minded individuals with the intent and desire to work in a team environment for profit and enjoyment.
• Build initial fleet of 2x Terrapin, 2x Prospector, 1x Carrack, 1x Orion, 1x Reclaimer, 8x escort craft
• Develop organizational administrative support capabilities, to include webhosting, communications, and team building capabilities.

Vision
The planning, building, and execution of four divisional packages.

Small Scale Operations
• Poised to respond to niche orders of rare, or difficult to obtain resources
• Composed of two teams each consisting of 1 Prospector, and 2 escorts each, total crew 3-6 per team depending on escort craft type.

Large Scale Operations
• Bulwark of profitability, will focus on harvesting mass quantities of commonly used materials in high demand to ensure a steady revenue stream.
• Composed of 1 Orion team and 1 Reclaimer team, each with 2 escort craft total of 6-10 crew each, depending on escort craft type.

Exploration Operations
• Competitive advantage requires up to date intel. The exploration operations division will focus on finding new locations to exploit for resources. It will consist of 1 Carrack and 2 terrapin crews with escort craft determined by range considerations closer to game launch.

Operational Support
• Ranging from marketing (analysis and sales) to human resources (recruiting, pay, and accounting) there will be a variety of “desk” jobs designed to support the crews in the sky and keep the fuel and pay flowing. These roles will be more clearly defined as the game gets closer to release.

Corporate Leadership
• The CEO will establish and oversee a Board of Directors consisting of 10% of active guild membership. 40% of the board positions will be direct appointments, and 60% will be filled via semi-annual corporate vote. Unplanned vacancies of elected board positions will be filled by special election within 1 week of vacancy.
• The Board will be responsible for setting corporate strategy, goals, and milestones, establishing new and modifying existing bylaws, maintaining competitive advantage, and selection of Division Leads.
• All board members, to include the CEO, receive one vote for every issue. In the event of a tie vote, the CEO reserves the right to break that tie. No board vote will be legitimate without a quorum (defined as a majority of members) in attendance.

Employee Considerations (Once SC goes live)
• Employees owe no fewer than 6 hours weekly to the organization.
• Employees time will be managed by team leads.
• Employees will respect their coworker’s time. If you’ve agreed to be available at a specific time for a mission, failure to do so without prior coordination may incur punitive actions. (As mentioned in our manifesto, we know life happens, but be honest about your limitations and make commitments accordingly.)
• Employees will not commit fraud, or abuse. This includes but is not limited to: Improper record keeping/disclosure (i.e. skimming off the top), and use of corporate resources for personal use without prior approval from the board.
• Remuneration for members of salvage teams will be paid in a percentage of the cost of hiring NPCs (i.e. 75% of the cost of an expert level refiner NPC) with specifics TBD during beta/launch.
• Ship owners will be paid a percentage based on gross take, less deductions for ship repairs, rearming and refueling, and the corporate cut (TBD based on economic conditions at launch).
• Remuneration for members of exploration teams will be paid in a fixed percentage based on the profitability of locations discovered for exploitation.
• Remuneration for members of support staff will be paid from the corporate cut. There exists a potential for flat rate w/ performance bonuses or pay via commission depending on job. TBD at launch.
