History
Enemy Boat Spotted is a gaming community founded by Age (now Provoked Prawn), Spawnsy, and JackInTheGreen in 2007.
We certainly are not a clan. We don’t compete in wars or clan ladders, we are just a bunch of friends who enjoy playing games together. We don’t take things too seriously but at the same time we don’t approve of hackers or people who break the rules on our server or forum. Dirty players are not welcome and their techniques are discouraged. We are Gentlemen and we fight in a gentlemanly manner.
We are international. Sure most of us are from or live in the UK, but we have, or have had members from South Africa, America, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Croatia, Hungary, Turkey, and Russia . We are proud of this fact. Everyone is welcome!
The name Enemy Boat Spotted came about because of fond memories from Battlefield 2 and maps such as “Strike at Karkand” where, when bored, people would “spot” Enemy Boats on the map in places where there clearly couldn’t be any. It always made me laugh. Nearly as much as when they introduced infantry only maps and people would run about (over great distances) Spamming the call “I need a ride” or “hey! I need a lift!”.
Manifesto
We don’t want or need lots more members so we don’t have a flashy forum designed to impress. We seek quality, not quantity, substance, not style.
We value integrity, honesty, and openness.
We like being small and knowing most of the members. We’re friends who look out for one another outside of gaming. We use discord to play games together for which the community does not run it’s own server. We take breaks and come and go as we please, but this is home.
Charter
We’re a friendly gaming community and as such we expect all members to behave in a gentlemanly, friendly manner. This applies in game, on the forum and on Discord.
Please treat others how you’d expect to be treated. Don’t be rude to others. Let’s be friends and have a blast!
