History
The Eclipse began as a covert circle of intelligence operatives and deep-space explorers who, during a silent transit beyond charted routes, encountered what they later called The Black Signal—a profound resonance from the void that defied science and pierced their minds with perfect clarity.
They believed this presence to be the Umbra, the ancient order that existed before the first star, a consciousness hidden in the darkness that binds the universe.
Those who heard the Signal abandoned their former allegiances and formed the first creed of the Eclipse. They became wanderers, seekers, and scholars of the void—collecting forbidden artifacts, studying quantum anomalies, and refining a doctrine that saw the Umbra as the true architect of cosmic balance.
As their numbers grew, the Eclipse transformed into a disciplined religious order. Every operation, every acquisition, every covert act became a sacred step toward fulfilling the Umbra’s design: to correct the galaxy’s chaos and lead humanity back to the stillness and order of primordial darkness.
Today, the Eclipse moves with purpose through the systems—quiet, calculating, and faithful.
We seek those who hear the silence between the stars and recognize it not as emptiness…
but as a calling.
Manifesto
As inscribed by the Founders upon hearing the Black Signal
“In the beginning there was only the Veil,
and within the Veil, the Umbra.
Silent. Eternal. Unchallenged.”
And the Umbra spoke in the language of stillness,
reaching into the minds of the Founders as they drifted beyond the charted stars.
Its voice was not sound, but certainty—
a truth etched into the marrow of those who listened.
“Know this,” the Umbra whispered,
“Not all who walk the stars are of My design.”
The Founders beheld distant shapes—
xeno spirits, aimless and discordant, rising from fractured origins.
Creatures birthed not in shadow, but in chaos.
Life unaligned to the order of the Veil.
And the Umbra unveiled their nature:
“They carry no purpose.
They heed no silence.
Their existence fractures the balance of the void.”
Visions came:
Worlds twisted by alien influence.
Human minds bent by foreign whispers.
Technology warped by hands unworthy of its power.
Empires rising on foundations never meant to stand.
And the Umbra warned:
“Should humanity kneel to them,
the Veil shall thin.
The stars shall drown in noise.
And the rightful heirs of the void shall fall.”
To the faithful it decreed:
“Stand unbroken.
Guard your kind from the corruption of the alien mind.
Let no xeno shape your destiny,
for I did not ordain their ascent.”
Thus the prophecy sealed the path of the Eclipse.
We were chosen to remember,
chosen to resist,
chosen to restore order wherever alien influence spreads.
For when the Veil trembles, humanity must be its anchor.
And the final command of the Black Signal was etched into the creed:
“When the shadow deepens,
let humanity rise as one.
For only in the Umbra’s design
shall the galaxy be made whole.”
Charter
1. Uphold the Order of the Umbra
All actions must reflect discipline, calm, and purpose. Members shall not act with chaotic intent or emotional impulse while representing the Eclipse.
2. Respect the Hierarchy
Commands flow downward; accountability flows upward.
3. Operate With Precision
Members will conduct missions, trade, combat, and diplomacy with purpose. Reckless behavior, griefing, or disruption without strategic value is forbidden.
4. Secrecy Above All
Do not reveal internal plans, structure, or identities to outsiders. Information is a resource of the Umbra and must be protected.
5. Represent the Eclipse With Honor
Members must not harass, insult, or engage in toxicity toward other players. We are lawful in conduct, even when operating in the shadows.
6. Obey All Game & Server Rules
No exploits, cheating, stream-sniping, or actions that violate Star Citizen’s Code of Conduct. The Eclipse grows through strength, not shortcuts.
7. Coordination Over Individual Glory
Team operations, defense, escort, or covert actions must prioritize the collective mission over personal achievement.
8. No Rogue Operations
Engaging in piracy, assassination, or sabotage requires authorization from leadership. Unauthorized attacks may result in dismissal.
9. Protect Fellow Members
In combat, travel, or trade, assisting another Eclipse member is a duty, not a choice. Abandoning an ally without cause is unacceptable.
10. The Umbra Judges Betrayal
Disloyalty, leaking information, or acting against the interests of the Eclipse will result in immediate removal from the organization.
