History

Started in 2381 after UEE was founded, Elysium was launched initially as a deep space exploration program by a former Naval ship captain named Captain Max Striker. Striker decided to retire from the navy and start his own deep space exploration program with common stock and a venture capitalist. After purchasing his first ship from Roberts Space Industries, Elysium was born. Over the next 581 years Elysium grew into the most heralded exploration and trading corporation throughout the entire known Galaxy.

Manifesto

Through our established leadership channels and well trained military and mercenary units we will maintain the highest levels of preparation for combat and secure shipping lanes, keeping Elysium controlled space the safest place in the galaxy to do business.

Elysium Credentials:
We are looking for intelligent, well rounded, motivated, and inspired players of all professions that have tenacity, personality, and social skills. For those who produce an impressive resume that showcases your extensive knowledge in any give area of expertise, you can rise to officer positions at a rapid rate. There is no glass ceiling at Elysium.

Elysium Mission Statement:
Our Fleet’s overall agenda is to have fun as we dominate the universe through exploration, trade, and military combat. However this does not mean that we will not strive to be one of the best. Elysium will find the perfect space (null-sec) to setup our operations and expand universally.

Elysium Economic Outlook:
A benefit of Elysium’s location will allow us to be one of the wealthiest and most powerful corporations in the game. We will have access to some of the rarest materials through expert level trade and exploration. Our explorers will find the minerals, our miners will extract them, our transports to will move them, and our military will protect you, keeping giant shipping lanes open and free from pirates.

Elysium Military Protocol:
Elysium’s military will be superior combat specialists. While we will have strength in numbers, we won’t dominate for that fact only. Our training program is being developed and will begin at alpha, to prepare the beginners for high level conflict. Elysium’s Military fleet will be a home for any and all pilots that are sociable, highly skilled, and drama free.

Charter

I-Our Purpose

To conquer, dominate, and expand.

The Purpose of this Corporation is to provide group and social activities for every play style and at every level of engagement. For pilots of every skill aside from pirates and at every level of dedication. From loners to wingmen to capital battle-fleets, from industrialists to traders to explorers. To be a corporation with leadership that excels without the stifling demands of corrupt hierarchy, beurocracy or a popularity chain of command.
Though we reward our staff for K/D ratios, fleet participation, and play style, we will never hold these as a benchmark to remian with us or implement any tax programs.
No high ranking officer, board member, or player will ever bind a member to do anything he or she has not themselves signed up for. All activities are and shall remain voluntary and un-coerced, and no ill will shall befall any member for abstaining from any activity.

II-Elsyium Leadership
To be a great leadser, one must learn to follow.

The Purpose and powers of the Leadership is to;
-ensure the smooth running of the corporation and monitor it’s growth matrix.
-encourage cooperation between various sub-groups
-moderate the forums
-enforce respect
-resolve disputes
-Diplomacy
-Intelligence/counter-intelligence
-Oversee the organization and management of the corporation’s resources
-Ensure everyone who wants to has something to do nthat can benefit themslevs and Elysium.
-Ensure beginners are trained and aided with kindness and respect.
-Build business relationships with other organizations.
-Delegation

For these purposes the Leadership has the power of negative but not positive coercion. That is, they cannot tell members to go here, shoot that, sell there. But can say don’t go here, don’t shoot that, don’t sell there. This to ensure the guilds ability to have diplomatic relations and some sense of coherency, while still maintaining the maximum amount of freedom short of anarchy.

Any one player in the leadership can take these actions, but should seek consensus for weightier ones, and his action can be overruled by a majority of the full leadership in case of an appeal from a member.
