History
Founded in 2955, Emberguard began as a syndicate — a wild, independent brotherhood operating beyond formal authority. In its early years, Emberguard took on contracts, security work, and industrial operations wherever opportunity existed. Their methods were effective but often unconventional, earning them a reputation as an organization frowned upon by UEE authorities for their unsanctioned and unsavory activities.
Despite scrutiny, Emberguard grew steadily in both numbers and capability.
In 2956, Emberguard entered into a formal operational contract with InterSec Defense Solutions, providing security and enforcement support. However, InterSec ultimately terminated the contract, citing the risks associated with relying on an unstructured syndicate. This severance exposed Emberguard’s vulnerability and forced a critical evolution.
Emberguard formally transitioned into a corporate organization, establishing governance, citizenship, rank progression, and operational command. Structure provided stability, legitimacy, and long-term survivability.
From this transition, Emberguard Resource Command (ERC) was established to manage industrial operations, logistics, and resource acquisition. ERC expanded rapidly, securing valuable resource channels and establishing Emberguard’s economic independence. This strong pivot into industrial power provided the funding necessary for Emberguard’s corporate expansion, infrastructure development, and growing political influence within its operational regions.
Alongside it, Emberguard formed its official Military Command, creating a disciplined defensive force to protect its citizens and secure its interests. Within the military, specialized task forces were formed, including Advanced Recovery Operations (A.R.O.), a dedicated personnel recovery and medical unit.
Today, Emberguard operates primarily within the Stanton System, leveraging its infrastructure and economic opportunity, and the Nyx System, where Emberguard maintains an independent frontier presence. These systems serve as Emberguard’s operational foundation, with further expansion into additional systems planned as Emberguard continues to grow in strength and influence.
